I'm not really bugged by these things because if it is going to happen, IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. It's inevitable. So there's no need to worry.

And if the FDA approved it, it's going to kill people. Actually it WILL kill people. Cancer cures is the governments nonchalant way to population control. (chemo)

Dozens of Roman emperors died of cancer. :) It was a down right epidemic in Rome.

i would not want to live forever most likely, but being alive for 100,000 years+....imagine the advances you'd see, imagine how much you could learn, i think eventually you'd go completely mad though, at least for periods of time, then re-gain your senses with no memory of your past or maybe only bits and pieces.

I am very sorry for you loss and I also agree with you. The money is in the treatment and management drugs, not curing drugs. Same for AIDS. They have made some good cocktails that will allow people to live with it almost a full life, if you can afford $10,000 in drugs a month for the rest of your life. If not, you die.
I believe doctors want to heal and cure people but the drug companies want people to be forced onto "maintenance programs". Why sell a cure to a person once when they can provide maintenance for as long as the patient can afford?

Then why do the pharmaceutical companies offer programs for low income individuals? how come in other countries where the health system is publically funded they are still getting the same "maintenence programs"? It doesn't benefit those types of gevernments to keep people sick.

Its so the drug companies look like they care. Same reason Wal-Mart gives "some money" to the communities. What money the communities see is nothing compared to how much of their money is being sent to Arkansas.
The aid the drug companies give is nothing to what they take in. As for the publically funded places having the same meds? Where do you think they buy those drugs from? Government provided health care in this case is giving the meds at a loss. That is why countries that have that ration care as there is not enough money to go around. Either way, the drug companies still get paid. They may sell to governments for less, but are still making large profits.
In fact, in government health care, you would think those governments would be demanding advances on more cures faster but I don't see that. What is any government to do where THERE IS NO CURE?

DH said it right. When was the last time you seen in a newspaper or on TV a pharmaceutical company needing a bailout or filing bankruptcy. The profits they make are astronomical. They can afford to give a little away. Its great PR for them.

it may not be the cure for every one and every type , but the FDA has already approved it, and I belived he's cured a few people already!!!!

There was a story I remember in the papers and on the web years ago. It was about a doctor that had a cure for cancer......He would run your blood through a heater basically and warm it up to a certain temp and then put the blood back in you and had success with cureing cancer....anyone remember that story and if he got anywhere with it........

The FDA also approves stuff that makes you blind and kills you. They cant come out with a cure for cancer, its too big of an industy now, especially in this "depression"

it was on the news here all day long, but i live locally to the event soooo....

It was on dateline also, but i missed it, its not a cure for every type or everybody but it is a bonified cure.

its not medicine, its not a pill, its genetic rewriting!

curing cancer doesn't cure all disease, beside im pretty sure its only specific cancers that they can treat. to bad its not a universal cure though


you understand what curing even just one person means???


it may leave this country but with the internet, you cant hide something like that.

so the cure may move to somewere were the governement pays for cancer treatment, to that government a cure would be like a giant check for the government.
