well since bho can Decarboxylate THCA in plant material and co2 cant i always suggested that BHo is stronger then Co2 extractions.

Trick to vac purging is you have to put it under vacuum at a molten state... so I threw the parchment paper on pyrex in the oven at 150 for a few seconds until it was molten, then put the PP in a foodsaver-jar and attached my vacuum pump to it at -25hg for a minute or two. Popped it in the oven at 170 then did the second pull another -25hg for 3min or more.
Let it relax over night and it calmed down to some delicious looking completely stable to the touch oil.
Also it's the first time I used Parchment Paper... I now swear by that shit... it's made from the BHO gods to help us!

Ahhh shiiiiit. Decided to blast a quarter tonight =D Although i only managed to squeeze 6 grams in the extractor. I didn't break up the buds for this first run, but for the second ive ground it all up and im gonna do it all over again.
This first round came out AMAZING. super nice color and the taste is incredible
^This wasn't all of the first run mind you, this is about half. I was just super excited and as soon as that first swipe thru the dish came off the razorblade i snapped a few pics haha. It's been a few hours since the pics and man this stuff just shatters but its so fucking stickyy =D

MILD HEART BURN!! i have experienced thisOh im there with ya brother i love vaping but for some reason it take out the fun out of smoking. Ya know when your grinding up the weed getting a rolling paper and crutch ready roll it all then just kick it with the boys passing it around and smoking shooting the shit protending you know impressive smoke tricks haha. What i mean crap compared to bho is that the potency isint quite there as it is with BHO. Didnt mean its crap dont buy it im still trying to get my hand on some to try it out for my self. I almost would think for clarity i would prefer the c02. Because even with using 5x filtered butane which i always have. I sometimes ended up getting mild heart burn after a few rips of bho which is why i only smoke bubble and full melt hash noiw nothing cleaner then ice and water extractions
my first few batches of BHO, I ran ABOUT a quarter each time in a tight tube onto hot pyrex dish and evapourated on low heat for half hour, then pop/break bubbles
at this point i lightly heat with torch.
scrape, collect in centre of dish and heat with torch.
heat, heat heat, bubble bubble melt melt melt... i do this for a bit. this is the part im confused about, not using a vaccuum but using heat, how much am i burning the BHO by heating it, and how much do bubbles keep coming out until its ready. ive had a tutorial, but im on my own now. ive noticed HEARTBURN and suspected it was a result of improper purging of the oil, so i came on here to find out how to correct this and was suprised to see someone with the samr problem. if it is an improper purge please please please shed some light, as i do not enjoy heartburn (mild none the less) and do not want to be doing things unhealthy

The more you heat your BHO, the more you lose. The trick is finding the perfect setting for heat, exposure time, etc etc that works for you and your strains you work with. Try to use something besides a torch to heat your BHO and purge it... that's EXTREMELY wasteful. If anything try the double boil method, pyrex on stovetop pan method, or vac purging.
Are you vaping your oil correctly? Honey oil can be smoked with a lighter, dropped on top of a bowl of pot... but it shouldn't. The best way to enjoy your oils are by vaporizing them on either a vapor globe, TI swing, Atom Smasher, etc. Burning your oil with fire is not only wasteful... but in personal experience, I've found to be a LOT more harsh. This might be where you heartburn comes from... try buying a vapor globe or swing and see if you feel the same thing. I never have a problem smoking my oils properly.
