would i stress my plant by taking it from indoors to out back to in

I have them growing with 3 cfl in my closet but from time to time i put them outside to get air and better lighting. Then i bring it back inside to the cfl's. Would i confuse the plant somehow? I don't have ventilation in my closet, i just leave it open. Will that cause any problems? it is only one autoflower plant that i am growing. thanks

Depends on what lights your using. Say if outside spectrum is red . and u were using blue spectrum cfls.. then the answer is yes.

Common sense:D

i believe you would also have to take it easy at 1st, like a few hrs a day outside then add more time and so on.

let them gradually get used to the much more intense, and diverse light that the sun puts out... start by giving them window light, or putting them outside in the shade for the first 2-3 days....

i started the plant outside the first 2 weeks until i realized that 12 hours of sunlight was not sufficient, thus the reason why i am doing it inside now.

every one on here told me to put them inside, since they not getting enough light. 2 weeks in and they were tiny. Now that i put them inside they are growing bigger. i saw more growth in the one week inside vs. the 2 weeks outside. I was using just 2 26 watts 6500k cfl's now i added one more.

I grew my plant outside throughout the cool weather. I started it in Nov and now it's pretty big. I am not sure if it ever got more than 12 hours of sunlight. I would imagine it didn't grow as quickly as it would have if it had gotten 18+ hours but it's big enough for the space i've got.

yeah and im in puerto rico, our weather is hot year round. but for the 2 weeks it was outside, i thought it died or something. I think i really overwatered it or i stressed when i transplanted. Don't really think it was the lack of sun hours. I have more seeds, since i am a newbie i just planted one plant, so i can learn my mistakes. thus far, i made plenty. The short rider strain i have is a tough plant from what i read, she can take alot of abuse. But now i am giving her the loving care she needs. fed her bioheaven just now

I bet she would do well outside if you leave her to do her thing. Remember that a lot of soils have nutrients in them so if you add too much more nutes you will overnute. I didn't use any nutrients until after about 3 months when I noticed she looked like the lowest leaves were yellowing. I think the problem we have is trying to do too much. If I leave mine alone and just water and feed when she is dry, she thrives. How big is the pot you're planting in? Mine was in 3 gallon and it was too small.

It's defintely not too cold in puerto rico. :)

i have her in a 3 gallon. it is a so called autoflower short rider from nirvana. Some people say its a autoflower some say it is not. Well bioheaven from what i understand, you give it during seedling stage, so it can develop stronger roots or something like that lol, it was given to me for free so might as well try it out

you can manipulate the root strength with special watering techniques and soil and environment

Maybe i should stick it back outside and leave it under the 12 hours of sunshine. It has been a very slow growth going, it is going on 4 weeks now and it is very small

obviously, I'm just smiling at you because you tried to say something pretty crazy, and now you are seeing that maybe what you said was actually crazy and are doing the best thing now

lol im confused to the whole crazy thing that was crazy because i said some thing crazy thing lol. I don't know everything i keep reading says i need 18 hours for these autoflowers. But i mean the sun should be more intense during those 12 hours then these cfls are putting out in 18. I will stick her on the roof. i am scared of those spidermites outside too. I put it on the roof them spidermites won't get to her. then i can work on my 2nd plant inside. try to learn from all the mistakes i did to this one

i don't think 12 intense hours equals 18 hours because anything under 12 hours is not suficient for vegging. Are you ready for her to flower? Most of the northern hemisphere is experiecing less than 12 hours of sunlight right now and will until about april. So if you put a mature plant outside, it will flower. I don't know waht your plans are or how big your plant is, i don't even know if your seeds were feminized.... I also don't know anything about autoflower, sorry :(

thanks for your opinion. She is feminized. I am on close to my 4th week and she is tiny. I have a grow journal and you can see how she is on her 3rd week. She is growing very slowly with the cfl's. I am close to the equator in puerto rico, don't know if that makes a difference.
