What are the different effects of shrooms, LSD, and DMT?

What amount is a good amount to get "high enough" and how much should it cost usually?

And lastly, wtf is DMT exactly?

My buddy is making some and wants me to try some but i'm not too savvy on the ins and outs of the drug.

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is a naturally occurring hallucinogenic compound of the tryptamine family. DMT is found not only in several plants,[3] but also in trace amounts in humans and other mammals, where it is originally derived from the essential amino acid tryptophan, and ultimately produced by the enzyme INMT during normal metabolism.[4] The natural function of its widespread presence remains undetermined. Structurally, DMT is analogous to the neurotransmitter serotonin (5-HT), the hormone melatonin, and other psychedelic tryptamines, such as 5-MeO-DMT, bufotenin, and psilocin.
Many cultures, indigenous and modern, ingest DMT as a psychedelic drug, in either extracted or synthesized forms.[5] When DMT is inhaled or consumed, depending on the dose, its subjective effects can range from short-lived milder psychedelic states to powerful immersive experiences, which include a total loss of connection to conventional reality, which may be so extreme that it becomes ineffable.[6] DMT is also the primary psychoactive in ayahuasca, an Amazonian Amerindian brew employed for divinatory and healing purposes. Pharmacologically, ayahuasca combines DMT with an MAOI, an enzyme inhibitor that allows DMT to be orally active.[7]

By the sound of it you do not seem to have a lot of experience with these mind altering drugs so first of all "DO NOT DO THE DMT THING ANY TIME SOON!!!" Like any drug it is better to start with as little amount as possible and see the effects, only then start increasing dosage. Remember that LSD can send you down a nasty lane but in my opinion that is the thing to start with, Take a 1/3 of a block of LSD and see what the effect is then on another occasion take a 1/2 and so you work your way up. Then start going for the shrooms also little by little, the problem with these are that you get so many different species that it will be almost impossible to get the exact 'perfect' dose. Just take it slow. And finally after you are very comfortable with the whole world of trips then you sit in your room on a day that you are mentally very calm and in a good place and toke some DMT. Trust me you will be in a different universe altogether so rather than jumping into that prepare yourself little by little, cause jumping in unprepared is HELL!!!

You can never do the DMT thing soon enough, it is the ultimate equaliser, no one is more experienced at it than the next person.
It will show you what you need to see and tell you what you need to hear, it is potentialy the most beautifull thing you could ever experience during your life.

Que some shpongle in the background to entrain your brainwaves and 5 minutes can become an eternity.

P.S. what pony said is, DMT is found and produced naturaly in the human body in small amounts, it is in fact probably the most common molecule higher lifeforms share. It is found in nearly anything from trees to poop.

Unlike other psycedelics it does not alter your mind, not much anyway, although when you speak it comes out mushroomed, you close your eyes and you are shot away from this world into another dimension that has no bounds, is infinate in every conceivable way. But it is still you haveing the experience, not some crazy LSDed up whacky brain. This world is just ripped out from under you and replaced with... well something else. like one second you are here, next second you are there.

It is physicaly very intense going into it the first couple of seconds can be very tough if you try to resist rather than fall into the trance. You will feel this wave fall off soon enough.
You may or may not be aware of your surroundings depending on if you "break through", which is a term for the next level of what DMT does, it is completely diffirent from what you get at low doses and is totaly mystical and all powerfull life changeing moments. Time can get etremely dilated the first few times as you adjust to your faster running noggin, I remember it feeling like 15 minutes between breaths when I started (trips lasted 5 minutes). After seeing the impossible, or rather being THERE, death loses it sting, and fear becomes a silly response.

ppl who've never tripped always ask about it... just do it and see for yourself.

it's fucking crazy. that's the only way to put it.

seen fear and loathing in las vegas??

every tiime i've ever done shrooms i've always said i'll never do it again. it lasts 4-8+ hours so you better not do shrooms on your way to the movies when your parents are gonna pick you up. you'll prob start peaking out on the way back. you'll want to avoid them if you'll find yourself driving within 12 hrs of taking them.

i always puke like a motherfucker when i do them. it's a trip, totally worth it, incredibly scary the first time... it's hard to explain to somebody that the ground turned to jello for a little bit, you know? so you just have to experience those hallucinations for yourself and find out what the fuss is about...

in a nutshell, lsd acts like an amphetamine similar to molly, but distorts time, dimension and is heavy on visuals. its not uncommon to get confused and feel out of place. shrooms are smoother, tend to create a more body high than visual. dmt is top dog. it would be the height of an acid trip hitting you all at once, like a hit of salvia. it taste like synthetic plastics, feels like something is moving in your blood and elves tend to give you advise on your life. its the closest to talking to god without dying, just try to remember it. most people start on shrooms as dmt is not sold too much on the street and lsd can make you very confused and turn a trip bad quick. im not sure if you can say youve had a bad dmt trip, its a tool for inner awareness, unless its brewed then it just depends on the type of person you are. we have failed to bring up mescaline in this thread. mescaline will make you vomit as a purge of the soul so to speak. its ok, just hold it as long as possible and then let it fly. when your done, what i experience is riveting to me. i see the inner workings of things, i can feel everythings energy around me and see it. watching movies looks like i made a cad design and am reviewing my work. its rather peaceful once your stomach stops hurting. my advise is simply to have an experienced person with you. people say get a sitter, well thats no fun if that person isnt trippin too. most of the trip is dependent on the mood and atmosphere.

How's the come down of DMT?

LSD is "grubby" in my opinion. That is the only way I can describe the feeling when I come down from it.

I come down from shrooms much easier than LSD, and the feeling is much "cleaner"

Shrooms was one of the funnest experiences I've ever had. Far too long though, that's the only drawback I could find, that and the taste..

LSD was a bit too much for me I think.

Haven't experienced DMT

Its a natural compound of the body, i.e. not foreign matter, there is no come down, you are more sober than you were before you tripped when it ends.
