I'm a newbie still but I read in The Cannabis Grow Bible by Greg Green that blueberry should be topped but that's just what I read

It says "depending on the strain and the growing environment, the topped plant may produce two small top colas instead of one big one. Also, each strain has a threshold for bud production that cannot be improved upon because it is a genetically pre-determined factor. The strain blueberry is a good example of this. If you grow blueberry without topping you won't achieve maximum bud production from that plant, but if you top the blueberry, you will."

That is exactly what it says

I'm germinating original Blueberry too. I am gonna veg with Autoflowers. I don't have a grow tent, but an entire spare room.

Don't know if this is best choice I have:

UFO#1Kannabia Seeds Kannabia Special Feminized
Dutch Passion Blueberry Feminized
Dutch Passion Orange Bud Feminized seeds
Dutch Passion Mekong High
Dutch Passion White Widow Feminized
Dutch Passion Skunk #11 Feminized

Depends on which blueberry you have. I've got the original DJ Short genetics, and it's a great multi-topped plant, but it doesn't like a lot of nutrient, so take it easy in that regard. It also seems prone to calcium def for some reason.

allright, mines mos def not the original.
the seedbank i bought it from is called high supplies and they dont give away the breeder. come to think about it, they dont give any info at all regarding ...um anything!
hmm how will i know if its even blueberry? how big is the chance that the blueish color emerges? thats the only way to tell right?

Blueberry doesn't like root restriction or the medium getting too dry either. It is not an easy strain to grow, but if you do it right it will reward you nicely. I have never topped a blueberry myself so I can't comment on that, butI sometimes find that I don't always get more weight from a topped plant then an untopped plant, it can be very strain specific. Good luck! Blueberry is one of my all time favs.

The bluish color can be difficult to coax out of her, you have to really have it dialed in (which I do, happily :)). The flavor and odor of the original is unmistakable, it truly smells and tastes (on the exhale) like blueberry. Good luck to you, I've seen a lot of so called Blueberry that just wasn't, and the first time I grew it I hated it, almost threw out the genetics but I'm hella glad I didn't. It's truly lovely smoke.

well hell, i just hope it dont taste like the White Widow. thats some shady taste man. weird rollercoaster high too. i think WW is too strong for me. i smoked 1 gram in a bowl and got real fucked up.
blueberry looks nicer, so i bet it tastes nicer too. due to the name and all the berry strains out there.

I have a few runs under my belt with this strain. Its a good genetic line for sure if you do not cure it you will lose the BB taste. It defiantly suffers from Cal Mag deficiency if you don't keep an eye on your PH will turn yellow very fast so she is a bit picky bout nutes. If you let your grow environment temps swing 20* from day to night she will produce some beautiful colors from blue, purple to almost black depending on how cold you let it get. I let it swing from 75* day to 55* - 60* at night.

Now I know peeps say to keep the temp consistent but I like to do as mother nature dose let the grow space cool down at night just like outdoors. Seems to work well for me I see no decrease in potency or yield . I'm growing it in Canna Coco with there full nute line 1,000 HPS for flower. One trick I have found is veg her for bout three week cuz she will tend to stretch a bit in flower

Well there's both sat dom and indi dom blueberry plants out there.
The pg blueberry cut is very indica,dj shorts were way more sat with mutation probs(for me)
Other than the diff between sats and indis it should grow like any other plant.
Toppings always good for yield, occasionally ya find a plant that does not do better being topped but most do.

verry good info from all of yall! spanks
so topping is what i need to do right? since i got a pair of em i think i'll just top one (never topped nuthin before) so i dont mess the other one up :P
that pH thing..um haha i cant measure pH. nope. no can do. cant check the humidity either xD haha ooops
but my last grow grew great (wordplay by a high dude) so im not too worried

Yeah, a proper cure is vital with this strain in particular, I do it very slowly with this one. I like to keep my dif to between 10-15 degrees, as you can develop humidity issues that lead to mold with drops greater than that, plus it cools the roots too much which can cause P uptake to slow. You've gotta have a drop in temp at night, otherwise certain enzymes aren't produced in the plant, so I don't know why people advocate constant temp.

She's a stretcher, that's for sure, but I still veg her for a month or more.

I am not crazy with the piney taste of WW even when I vape...

Hmmm. The White Widow I used to grow tasted and smelled very fruity, I still miss that smell. I have a new local strain that almost replicates the odor, but alas, not the flavor. It probably wasn't actually "white widow" at all, considering it was from Willie Jack seeds. But still, excellent smoke. I had a Northern Lights pheno from him that was stellar as well, didn't yield great but it was a true one hit wonder.
