Cloning Outdoors?

I have children so indoor is not an option for me. I was thinking about getting and fish tank and turning it upside down over them, but leaving some space between the tank and the ground. Ill have to prop it up on something, but slowly raise it up a little more until theyre rooted good. Will this work in the middle of summer or will the heat be too much for them. BTW- Whats a good hormone solution brand?
Peace&Love.

Heat will be too much, u want a vent up the top, u can buy a propagation box pretty cheap at local garden shops, the problem with outdoors is that it doesn't give enough light per day to be as successful, are u sure u havent got a cupboard around somewhere u can chuck a couple of cfl s in

Thanks for your reply, If the kids get into it I've got a lot of explaining to do. And the boss lady will be pissed but yeah I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and run an extension cord to some storage space under my floor. It's pretty humid so thats good right? The only thing is that I would have to tape it up really good so light wouldn't leak bc it's dark down there. Plus I would have to get a timer to turn it on/off automatically. Bc i dont want to be running back and forth. I should change the thread title to guerilla cloning. Lol. Ok anyone have anything else to add???? Have I missed anything? Appreciate any help! I think this may turn into a helpful read to anyone in my situation.

That or a prop box. Which would be best. Btw- has anyone ever been successful laying a limb down to the ground and burying it but leaving the end out so that it will sprout roots at the portion with dirt over it. I kno Ive done this with roses. Someone help me. What's the best rout to go ????

i donno man ive tryed puttin a unrooted clone outdoors aswell as other plants and they just dry up way too quick in the summer sun. gotta root em inside if ya ask me. ive started seedlings outside with ease just gotta not have em in a LOT of sun for long periods of time make sure they get plently of water etc. i also kept em in a plastic box with little openings on top. lotta things outdoors will fuck up young plants, lotta bugs thatll eat sprouts like slugs, i once had a ant bite down one of my plants like 8" tall, gotta battle deer and shit from feastin on em where i live lol. Starting outdoor can be done my friend. As far as a good cloning solution i dont do a ton of that i just picked up some random stuff at lowes it worked aight. You could also put em in your fish tank and put like a plastic cover or somthin over it ya no. Just keep a good eye on em outdoors when there young shit can happen quick. And humidity is good for plants when there growing, not the case in flowering. You really should start em inside a week or 2 but its not nessescary if u ask me. Lol ok phew....Good luck to ya ill try to stop in and see if you got anymore questions. ~ and as far as your last question im not sure if cannabis is capable of that, however i may be wrong, i know blackberry bushes do

ive done it with great success, its easy i just plant them and sit them outside and spray them once a day with a folair spray of thrive alive, and i get about an 85 percent success rate, and when it gets humid out it will work the best but ive done it all times of year and its worked as long as temp was warm enough

i clone outside with no problems at all, most important thing is that they are in total shade at all times, the heat isnt a problem as the strenght of the sun hitting the clones with no root systems.

could you go into more detail about how you do this?

yeah sure mate, once ive cut the clone i dip it in a hormon solution and put it in a plastic cut filled with coco i put a couple holes in the bottom of the cup and place all the clones in a humidy done and put them in shade the whole time. if the sun hits the clones for even 20 minutes it burns the leaves so its really important that they are in total shade. i water ever 2nd day with 1/4 strenght nutes and spray the leaves with canna rizzotonic every other day. in about 7 days i get roots. in 12 days i transplant into much bigger pots of coco then transfer them to my greenhouse.

I've rooted clones in straight perlite under my eaves outside my house. They got a little direct sun early in the morning and right before dusk. I didn't let the stems submerge , the perlite wicked the water to the stems . Took about 10 - 14 days to root than transferred to soil. Watch it good don't let it dry out.

i have cloned outdoors , with the simplest items , dip n grow solution soil and plastic cups left moist outside in summer and 100% rooted within 7-10 days

i'm getting set up to do this too. I got my propagator and was thinking of leaving it under the microwave light during the night.

Do you think this could help or is it a waste of time?

Probably a waste of time, i dont know if the microwave light would be sufficient enough for the plant.
