Well hello there. Here goes my first grow.

The Seeds

Im growing Chronic Haze from the World of Seeds Legends Collection and as you can probably decypher, it is a cross between Chronic and Haze.
http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/world-of-seeds/world-of-seeds-legend-collection/world-of-seeds-legend-collection-chronic-haze/prod_602.html

The Set Up

I bought a 400W HPS kit which came with an dimpled alluminum reflector, maxibright compact ballast and a grolux buld which apparently has extra blue spectrum for the veg growth. I got myself some seedling pots and 12l buckets which i drilled holes in for drainage. I got B&Q seedling compost for the little pots and John Innes No.3 soil for the larger ones, I also got some perlite to mix in with. I also got a polythene sheet to lay down in my box for cleanliness. I had an old desk fan which I put up there too. The actual grow area itself is an old water tank in my loft which is about 2m x 1m. Theres no lid so the roofs the limit. The loft itself is uninsulated and rather cold and very....unhumid? no dry hahaha. However, with the light, inside the water tank the temp sits around 20-25 degrees C so its not so bad.
Heres a picture of the set up:-

The Grow

I had bought 3 feminised seeds and was planning on growing two of them so i germinated them in a damp paper towel, after 2 days they cracked and i popped them in the seedling pots. The sprouts appeared and I moved them into my grow area under the light. I felt I might aswell grow the other seed aswell and just put it in a seedling pot with the compost without germinating beforehand. It sprouted and started to play catch but it wasnt really that far behind. The first pictures I took are after 28 days from the day I germinated the seeds.
Here they are:-

I had just started feeding them BioBizz's BioGrow at this point. They had some dead leaves at the bottom due to late transplanting from the seedling pots i believe.

Day 34

100_4481.jpg100_4474.jpg100_4479.jpg100_4482.jpg100_4483.jpg

They are most definately over-watered at this stage but first grow so I can only learn from my mistakes.

Day 39

100_4486.jpg100_4497.jpg

They're looking good to me so far, very bushy.

Day 45

100_4511.jpg100_4509.jpg100_4514.jpg100_4510.jpg

Starting to get some height now and still the over-watering appears to be a problem.

Day 51
(Day 1 of Flowering)

100_4515.jpg100_4521.jpg100_4517.jpg

First day of flowering and they are still live and well.

Day 56
(Day 6 of Flowering)

100_4534.jpg100_4535.jpg100_4533.jpg100_4531.jpg

I can definitely confirm now that these are three lovely ladies. I started feeding the BioBizz's BioBloom at this stage aswell as the BioGrow.

Day 60
(Day 10 of Flowering)

100_4548.jpg100_4551.jpg100_4549.jpg100_4550.jpg

Starting to see the start of my first home grown bud here. Also some trichs making they're way out too.

Day 68
(Day 18 of Flowering)

The tops are now getting a good coating of trichs and i cant get enough of the smell when you rub your fingers over the leaves.

This is the story so far, I will regularly update up to and inluding the smoke report.

Advice and comments are more than welcome.

Thanks a lot tricka, great to hear it. Most of the hairs on the tops are orange now and theres about 4 weeks left in the reccomended flowering time so i was thinkin maybe this strain puts out trichomes early then kinda stops, could this be right? Im gonna have to get a microscope soon to check the trichs cos its ripening fast i think

yeah thats best man, you cant go by the pistel colour, as it can change from strain to strain, i bought a jeweler's loupe...60x and 100x with a light, $10 from ebay!!!

i loved my attic grow when i had one going, by the end of the grow i had set a full lounge area set up in there, i even fell asleep with my girls on many times ;)

I've been looking at the loupe things, pretty cheap and they do the trick.

Im up in the attic all the time, cant get enough of them :) Its a bit awkward in my grow area atm cos they're in a big steel water tank and i have to lean over and try my best not to fall through the ceiling haha. Im gonna get this batch harvested, smoke it up and make big plans for the next grow :D. Theres so many different ways I can set up though and I dont want to do soil next time so maybe coco or a dwc set up......oh the possibilities :)

Dude, you just made my mind up on getting the Chronic Haze this year. Mine will be outdoor. Yours look terrifically awesome!!!!

I'm going for 5 Nirvana NL's, 5 Barney's Van Kush, 5 WOS Chronic Haze and 5 WOS Afghan Kush. Also 10 more undecided but looking like DNA Kushberry and Green House SS Haze.

I can't wait to see your finish. I had thought about going cheaper with the Landrace strains, but I see from yours that the Legend is the way! I'm subbed brotha!
