youre right they could force entry...but that's nothing a good lawyer couldnt handle in court...Nah, in a situation like that the police have a small window of making a judgement call. Police have power of entry without a search warrant under a variety of reasons indcluding when they think that a life is at risk. They could force entry under the pretence that someone had phoned in very very concerned for somneones welfare, as is seen by the 4 officers with guns drawn. You open the door, close it behind you, tell them there is nothing going on and no issue and that it's nowt but a bad assumption on someone elses part and to kindly leave you alone as they no longer have any valid reason to be there let alone make entry. You have removed any small capability they may have had.
ive been told by my cop friends to NEVER answer the door when LE is knocking...especially if you got some illegal shit going on. but i live in a big city where the cops actually have shit to do, maybe its a lil different in small towns.
