OK thanks, got it. Kill the roots oxygen supply. I'm going to try this on a few and see the taste/potey difference. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes, hopefully around mid April. The man dropped a lot for me today. Want to get a tiny bit more before I axe em. It's kind of sad killing him even though he's a stretched out man beast now. If you want a loaded Q-tip or something PM me.
@Wavey you can use duct tape to tie the string to the pot so you adjust daily. The plant will fight you all the way, especially when it gets thicker. Next time I LST I'm going to do more of a controlled SCROG where a place yarn over the pot taped on both sides strategically bending it across the pot. Or use little soil hooks like I've seen people on here do. A friend of mine starts his with a twisty tie tied to the most bendable newest growth and the middle of the plant. It kind of bends it like a fishing line bends a pole when you hook it to itself and crank it to carry.

both from greenhouse. i also have a ssh from royal queen seeds. going see if there is a difference between the two ssh's.

i can understand the feeling of wanting, yet not wanting to chop the male. it's odd, but it is very easy to get attached to your crops. and the time it takes reading them, and supplying a good life. almost like kids, but not.

i do like the idea of plant karma. you give them a good life, and they give you back beauty, smoke, hash, & sticky fingers.
or in some cases, pollen and seeds.

i picked up some berkley blues (dj's blueberry x berkley 80%sativa 20%indica) and blackberry kush (afghani x dj's blueberry 20%sativa 80%indica) did not intend on getting two blueberry strains, but wtf.
have not tried the blackberry kush yet, but the berkley blues is pretty tasty.

I'm even looking forward to the AK47 strains from pyramid. Dispatched the 16th so I'm counting on them being here next week. They better be here because I'm driving a couple hours next weekend to do two 400W room setups and I need gear for the ground. N if I stay on schedule for my harvest a month I need to sow my own seeds in a week from tomorrow. Shipping needs to evolve.

sure.

the brekly blues is kind of a indigo, lime/purple-green color. a sweet musky pine. almost smells like squished berries.
the high is up and relaxing. a little bit of the racing heart, but not bad. very comfortable and social. easy to do stuff, but a few more tokes and everything spins....so... very spiny

the blackberry kush is dark green with a little purple flecking. very nice buds. smell very fruity. and definitely that strong kush smell.
the high is really relaxing, muscles and tension go down to i don't care where. strong body high and couch lock

In the breeders bible it says start at 2 weeks from showing flower. Tomorrow/today is day 13 for Mazar so its about right. Frosty mini leaves started started forming. I want to pluck one just to taste it, but I won't. This is the one that will get painted.

I just upped the nutes on er. You can see how much darker the new growth is. She has been a little light her whole life and just now started getting happy with the nute concentration. Guess Mazars like dem nutes in droves. She never wanted to be LSTd so these tops are the least flat of all my plants. I still chose her because even though the other bud sites are a lot lower and less of them, they look like they aren't far the main bud site in terms of pistil production. I think this plant will be one of my biggest yielders because the side bud look like they still want to be top dog. She has a total of 7 bud sites. Sorry I always type so much, I just sit down and it flows out of me fast.

nice, looks great. beautiful pistils, it's nice watching the bud sites develop. i would like to get a time lapse camera on a crop.

yeah, some plants don't respond to lst they do what they want. black widow is one of the strains that wants what she wants, but will put up with lst. i was pretty baked last night. i will put some up today though. they are getting big. and i like when they stink while vegging. i take it at good genetics. i would like to read the breeders bible. ive been reading the breading section in the growers bible, but i would like more in-depth info.

its cool to type away. i do it all over the place. cannabis stimulates my rambling 100 fold.

the blackberry kush is tasty. but, the berkley blues is better imo. i'm more of a sativa guy, but i do like that kush taste/smell.

it depends. from sex, i think. but the pistils show its sex. so i would think you would be ok at 8 from 12/12. i dont think a week difference would be bad.
if you could pdf it that would be awesome. i have a pdf of the growers bible if you are in need.

Nice bro. The LST is working out great already on a few of them. I'm painting tonight! Got a nice cool quarantine spot with no airflow for lights out. Only going to leave them in there for the night. Hope that's enough to keep pollen from spreading. Should I spray them down before they go back in? I don't know I'm worried so I'm going to ask around. I don't want any other branches to get a single seed. I'm worried but promised myself tonight was the night. I plan on painting once more in three days. I can probably start making the pdf tomorrow. I don't want to scan 200 pages so ill probably use a tripod and a camera. Hope it comes out good.
