awesome job bro
Thank you for the compliment johnnny!! the subject current at hand is if i should even use specialized nutes. because i only used nutes all the way through the growth of that one plant. all the others i don't use any nutes so i don't really flush i just water as normal. that particular plant i fed with MG big bloom throughout her entire flowering life. and kept it up right until the end. the reason i didn't flush is because i was kind of pissed that after i went through all time of feeding and watering in rotation the plant didn't yield anymore than the ones i just gave water to. so i said fuck it, I'm gonna give nutes all the way and get what i can out of her.hey stoney i want to start off by saying FUCKING AMAZING. i read pretty much like half of this thread and i wanted to find out if you flush the plants before harvest.i know a couple pages back you said you dont but i just want to clarify if you do any flushing at all during the last few weeks.and with no flushing hows the smoke like taste smoothness oh and yeild compared to flushing.i got a somewhat similar grow cfl perpetual micro grow harvesting 2 a week grown in partycups.so yea i just wanted to find out if im losing out by flushing.
Thanks man!! can wait to cut her down. those buds are the hardest buds i've squeezed!awesome job bro
you didn't know?!?! that's how i keep my grow box cool... a snow machine! hahahaha thanks millyy!WOWOWOWO that is some frosty bud!!!Stoney what did you do to it, have a snow makers above it?!
Thanks dude!! egg shells are fantastic to put in soil! i use them a lot in my compost. i would like to use more compost in my soil mix but I'm afraid it has to much nitrogen in it for flowering... I'm not sure i think i will try it once.Looks great stoney, very sexy
I always wanted to take a bunch of fruits and and vegetables and blend them up and pure it on the plants I am sure there could be a benefit. One of my first outdoor plants, which was a male, I buried eggs shells and banana peels about 6-9 inches under the ground. Can't say if it did anything, I barely knew what I was doing.
thanks dude! i love the color of those plants!! Smelly's have that same shade to them to! and man the wet weight guess was probably a bad guess, now that i think about it, it might be more. she was really leaning over and i had to steak her up. the buds don't look that large but they are the hardest buds i ever grew.hey stoney, your wonder woman is just gorgeous man. beautiful dark green leaves, sparkley buds, just awesome. . how do you "guess" wet weight, by the way? great job bro.
That blueberry plant with all the pretty colors in it..... It's got that great sativa high, you know, ya feel like you have to do everything, but you got nothing to do!sweet dude! i figured it was a joke, but there was a chance you had a magic formula! what you smoking tonight bro?
yeah i TOTALLY know what you mean. what i do is i try to write down my "to do" ideas and if i don't get them done then (which i don't), at least i can remember what it was later lol. That blueberry plant with all the pretty colors in it..... I'm not gonna get into a debate with anybody out there(there are enough treads debating this issue right now) but my answer to top quality, frosty, potent buds is: LED lighting.STONEY! HOW do you get it so frosty!!!! hahaha dang that looks delicious send me some!
i used that $1 tripod!!! that thing is awesome! happy smokin!yeah i TOTALLY know what you mean. what i do is i try to write down my "to do" ideas and if i don't get them done then (which i don't), at least i can remember what it was later lol.
man, that is a beautiful nug, super crisp pic as well. right now i'm not smoking anything, but probably will in a bit... i've got some options, but i think i'm going for some aff goo... relaxing sativa, keeps me smiling for a couple hours and then ready for bed
thats what i wanna do with grassy since i only have one plant this time, and thats cool shit, food for your bulbs, turns 23 watters into 150 watters!! LoL. bro, you seen what i just pulled, 2 oz's per plant, and i can only imagine what grassy is gonna give me, im hoping 4 oz's dry, we'll see but you see what i use, jungle growth soil from lowes, about the same thing as the fox farm stuff. FF trio with the chaching at the end and the molasses and bat guano deal once a week. might not be the best but dam it works great. Thanks CD!! i think i may just harvest part of her. the lower buds don't look that mature. I'll decide tomorrow.
i was thinking maybe i will just make up a different batch of soil just for flowering. since i transplant a few weeks before flowering, i should change that soil to include more bone meal and maybe instead of using ammonium sulfate, i just use dried blood(less nitrogen) and i was thinking of adding this to the mix (pic) since i already own it. i need to find something with a high potassium value. I have heard of people grinding up banana peels and adding it to the soil, does anybody think that would work? or does it need to be broken down with heat in a compost situation? i would be worried about the sugars... but then again i think i may need a little sugar, like you said molasses.
I'm reading up some super soils by subcool and others. I'm sure I'll find a good solution by starting there and fine tuning it a bit. according to most organics make for smaller yields, maybe i shouldn't be complaining getting an ounce a plant.
Yeah, I use my little soldering gun to put a butt load of holes in them. Right now there are no roots in the water, they are still in the medium, so no airstone. I am hoping by trying to put them right into flower from rooted clone the roots wont grow into the rez needing air stones. I know it may be better to do it anyhow, but those 6 plants drink it up fast enough! Thanks dude!! egg shells are fantastic to put in soil! i use them a lot in my compost. i would like to use more compost in my soil mix but I'm afraid it has to much nitrogen in it for flowering... i saw your video today... i like that pipe your using. do you just put holes in the cups filled with perlite/vermiculite? do you circulate the water or oxygenate it?
thanks CD, I'm gonna head out to my local hydro soon and see what kind of deal i can get. i hope he remember me from the last time... sometimes that helps to get a better deal!thats what i wanna do with grassy since i only have one plant this time, and thats cool shit, food for your bulbs, turns 23 watters into 150 watters!! It's great to have you along psychild!! the hardest part for me to keep it going and not lose any strains. if i had more room and could keep mothers of all the strains it would be easier and not so much planning. but until i get more room and more lights I'll continue with what i got. it must be working because i haven't run out of bud in over six months now!Subscribed... Hopefully I can get on a one a week schedule too.
Wish those Blueberry seeds weren't so expensive :/
i understand about the water i use about 3-5 gallons every 3 days... thirsty bitches!!! so i take it the vermiculite doesn't wash out of the cup, is this because your holes are so tiny? or is it just because vermiculite doesn't wash away like soil?Yeah, I use my little soldering gun to put a butt load of holes in them. Right now there are no roots in the water, they are still in the medium, so no airstone. i hope it works for ya... if it does end up being easier and you like it, you could make an entire manifold system in the bottom of your grow box and stuff it full and have a SOG grow. The holes are somewhat tiny, about a dozen 1/16 - 1/8 inch holes all over. Some of the vermiculite runs out, but its small amounts and the perlite blocks most of it. I really like this better than soil, don't know why but you must have a complete nutrient solution in soilless as you know because the medium doesn't retain or supply micro nutrients like soil does.
Thank you!!! and i have to agree, there are some really great people on RIU. i know when i joined there were a lot of people saying it ain't what it was before but i have found nothing but good helpful people! there are some very kind hearted members here that are happy to spend hours of their time to help somebody out. and never once, want something in return! now that's what i call class, i like to surround myself with those kind of people! ask anything ya want, post anything ya want, and you are more than welcome to share anything you want on this thread! and keep looking out for the bud porn!!!!great shit homie!!
Def. will be hitting alot of folks up on here, everybody seems "real" enough to talk to without getting all the lecturing BS or people that cant break it down in common sense.
it's all i can think it can be. i have a very close Friend that grows the exact same DNA, in the exact same soil, same temps, and he uses an HPS instead, and he has city water and i have well water. my buds are always more potent. it has to be the light and/or water... it's the only two variables that i would think could make s difference. unless it could be elevation. I'm a few hundred feet higher in altitude.... not sure how that plays a roll... but i know it could be a factor.Well if it is the LED's they sure seem to be doing a good job haha!
