The holes are somewhat tiny, about a dozen 1/16 - 1/8 inch holes all over. Some of the vermiculite runs out, but its small amounts and the perlite blocks most of it. I really like this better than soil, don't know why but you must have a complete nutrient solution in soilless as you know because the medium doesn't retain or supply micro nutrients like soil does.

I didn't sub to it but I looked it a few times while browsing. I have heard of using osmocote in hempy though, suppose to be real nice when dialed in. Home Depot carries it too, so it is easy to come by
