Ive used reverse, and it does a pretty good job, but you cnat use it on stress hermies. And its not like there would be a point to turning a male to a female, juts kinda pondering aloud is all.

Hey Grumpy i followed your method exactly and it worked perfectly, i got a reading of 15ppm and my water had a slight yellow tinge to it.
Thanks for sharing +rep.

hey GOD did you start to get a few female type flowers before the balls came in?

Im spraying with CS every day and im starting to see a few white hairs :O

The first time I did it (Red Dragon) I started spraying CS as soon as I put the clone into 12/12 - I got a few female flowers then the male flowers took over and it stopped having female flowers, this plant had pre-flowers before I applied the CS.

The second time (Magic Bud), I applied the CS 3 days before I switched to 12/12 and the male flowers appeared before any female flowers - I did get female flowers eventually but I did only apply CS for a week after 12/12 then I stopped. This plant didn't have any pre-flowers before applying CS (no idea whether the presence of pre-flowers is relevant).

How long have you been applying CS?

My silver is clearly a yellow colour and i get large chucks of silver in there that i filter out. I have been applying the CS pretty much the second i made the change and apply EVERY day. Im getting quite a few female flowers.

It is on my Jock Horror so maybe the autos act differently but ive also started on my white rhino now so will see how that goes.

I have been running on 3volts for 24 hours using deionised water u get from Woolies (same one as you) and when i run my green laser threw it i can see the laser REALLY well unlike when i put it in Deionised water. I use the silver wire and got some made for CS (well according to the ebay place) yet i still seem to get an oxide on the electrodes in the form of what would look like a fur.

Here is a belladonna cutting that got the treatment and is about 3 weeks in.
As you can see ive put it outside and something has decided to crawl on it and have a munch lol, you know what they say... oh well.

Yeah it seems to have done the trick.
I was thinking next time about topping the clone for 2 colas so one of them can get treated and polinate the other one, or just spray the top so the pollen can fall on the lower branches. That way there would be no need to collect the pollen unless you are crossing strains.

If you have the room to let it self pollinate then that should work perfectly - I have too much happening and not enough space to allow plants to self pollinate and grow the seeds.

Ive got a small space in the garden i could use for the job, there is no way id cram it in with the girls under my little light lol

Well, I got my silver. I had bought a couple ingots online but decided to go to a somewhat local jewelry crafts shop and got .999 wire. Got everything but the water. All I can find in the supermarket (or anyplace else for that matter) is distilled water. I am seeing conflicting information on whether that is the same thing as demineralized water. I've read that distilling is simply one method of demineralizing. So...can I use distilled water for this?

Got distilled water at the store, gonna try that. I think it should work. BTW, I get a nice Tyndal effect from my tap water, nothing through the distilled water so that is promising. Hopefully will see it when I'm done.

Hi Tet1953

Distilled water should work fine - same stuff really, distilled water has no minerals.

Good luck with the treatment and I hope your girl grows balls.

You don't need to read all 16 pages - the first couple are where most info is at.

Best to start spraying a couple of days before the 12/12 switch.
I have no idea what my PPM is, near enough is good enough.
I have sparayed daily for a week then stopped, also I've sparayed daily for 2 weeks, also I've sprayed intermittantly (missing more days than not) - pretty much the same result,... male flowers form.
I visit my girlz at least once a day so spraying once a day is easy and the CS is so cheap to make, it doesn't matter if you spray too often.

The thread is a decent read and could be worth skimming through the 16 pages.

I gave it a go making CS. The power supply I chose was 850 mA, but higher voltage than what G.O.D. used -- around 12v. I made a nice little rig using a canning jar with lid. I installed a couple rubber discs in the top with little holes in the center of them, and 18 ga silver wire fits snugly in them. The wire extended down to within an inch or so of the bottom of the jar, and I filled it about 3/4 full (300-400 ml).

I checked on it for a couple hours, then had to go out. When I got home after about a total of 8 hours of operation, the silver wires were coated. One had a thick layer of gray gunk on it, the other had a thin layer of sooty black color. There is a little sediment on the bottom. Otherwise, the solution is clear but does give a Tyndal effect. I am guessing that if I siphon off or filter the water I'll have what I need. I may try a different power supply next time, one that doesn't work quite as aggressively.

Be watchful for 'run-away' as the amount of silver in solution increases and the overall process speeds up faster and faster over time as a result of the ever increasing conductivity/current between electrodes - which just ends with an accumulation of a lot of large, excess silver particles precipitating uselessly out of suspension... I'd imagine the higher the voltage the faster that run-away will occur as a general rule.

But even if run-away occurs, I'd also guess that your guess about just siphoning off or filtering the water to just remove any excess precipitate before use would be fine. You should still be left with a fully loaded CS solution in theory... but I'm unsure what effect voltage and changing conductivity has on the actual particle sizes that are in solution though. Did anyone ever find out/investigate how amps/voltage might relate to silver particle sizes?

Just brainstorming...

Any chance you could post a picture of your generator? Just would like to see how you made it.

I think you're right, it was going pretty good after only about 6-8 hours. The power supply I was using was 12.7v and 850 mA. I may get one of those universal ones where you can adjust the output and has different tips. They're not expensive.

Here are a couple pics of what I put together. I can easily use a different power supply, and even slip out the silver and put in, say, copper :)

Right now, a couple days later, one electrode is covered in black and the otehr is covered in gray. I'm sure I can just clean them up and use it again. I haven't done anything with the CS yet, but I will soon. I've been letting it set, there is some but not a huge amount of sediment. I will post pics of both the electrodes and resulting product when I can.

Thanks for the reply!
