Greenhouse Seeds AVOID like the plague! 20% germ rate from 15 seeds

Hi guys. I satrted off 2 weeks ago by ordering 5x The Church Feminized seeds from Greenhouse Seeds. Only 2 germinated in the 7 day period following. SO i purchased another 5 seeds. Only 1 germinated from those 5!! Now for the shocker... I purchased 5 more on tuesday and they were here wednesday and guess what. Not a single one has cracked yet (the 3 seeds that did germinate germinated within 24 hours). I have all of the ungerminated seeds on my germination platter. Also before anybody says my method is wrong. It isnt! I have (up until now) had a 95% germination rate from all previous seeds and they have been reg, feminized and autoflowerers (nirvana ,sensi seeds & short stuff)

So yes. Avoid these guys as they are sending out dead seeds

They have recently spent a shed load of cash making a machine that seperates seeds into good bad and cosmetically good seeds.
Sounds like its not working properly.
Send them an email and they should sort it out for you!

from a good source i know that greenhouse a bad seed shop is.

it is a multi seeds company with multi seeds and bad performes.

sorry for my bad english, i am dutch.

Hello well i have emailed and hopefull it will be recified. It just seems strange that every seed i have purchased in my growing career (from the same shop) i have had only 3 seeds not germinate. until now where 12 out of 15 of them have not cracked.
I hope they send me some fresh beans so i can do a comparison. Just be warey and do some research as it seems that some of there strains available are prone to low germination rates (from what i have read from various sources)

I think greenhouse seeds is a good company, i know people who have germinated many of there seeds and have had good results

I hate it when people post threads saying avoid a seed company just because they had a bad experience from them

I always had a good experience with greenhouse.Every strain grew out might not be the best weed but the super lemon haze and white widow was the bomb..Everything else was good in its own way

a bad experience? I ordered 3 batches of seeds at seperate time with dwindling results.
As i said i hope they recitfy the problem so i can compare the fresh beans with these aparent dead seeds.
I have been growing for years and after a result like this from a seed company i am more than entitled to complain as i have wasted valuable time and potentially money on dead seeds.
So go figure. I am not the only person who has had problems with the church...

I grew the churh and all germed. That was 1.5 years ago now. It was ok smoke as well

I to am a greenhouse fan . I have bought many of there verieties ..BUT have little luck with there colored seeds they take long time to germ(i you read about them at there site how to germ colored seeds ,says it can take up to like 2 weeks!!!mine pop in 2 days usualy)and i had gotten a black and white wheel and the ww would not germ and the white rhino took like a week! other then that i love the green house! they will rectify your problem i hope....there UK cheese is the bomb!!!!!!

yea i honestly think that it was just a COMPLETE bad batch of seeds that they had cuz i germ'd one at a time and both of them cracked i still have 6 more but my best friend has been using these same seeds and never complained about them not popping so i am forced to believe that the whole batch that they had was BAD

...the machine greenhouse uses is some serious piece of hardware... it's same company that popcorn companies used when quality controlling popcorn kernels... it does all of the above said plus calculated the percentage of seed with activating water within...

...but for whatever reason germination was messed up, you need to take your seeds (even the bad ones) back to where you got them for replacement...


...all my seeds from greenhouse since day one have germinated, even when I messed up the process, or even when I chuck the seed in my backyard it always crack open, so I don't know why your's didnt... idk but im sure greenhouse will replace...

Greenhouse seems to be one of those copanies that has a couple of great phenotypes, i've seem some fantastic stuff grown out from GHS beans, but they seem to have a far higher ratio of utter shit to the real great pheno's. Germination rate has always been great with GHS for me, almost always overnight, but the 3 strains i've grown of theirs, it made decide not to ever use them again unless for a laugh, such as their new exodus cheese.

lol no... i never tried it.. i'm sure theyll be like "wtf!!" I have bugged them when I had problems with other seeds, but I usually just say I have problems with this XXXX batch and they've asked me to mail it back for replacement... the assumptions are in regards to germination but we just never mention it...
