Ok i harvested 3 plants a couple days ago and the only spot i have to hang them to dry is my basement which is cold. The temp is 55F. to 57F. and RH is 40% to 47% is this going to be ok?

I have each plant is a seprate cardboard box hanging upside down and about 6 feet from them i have a fan oscolating back and forth and i have the box cracked open alittle to let the air get through but plants are still in the dark.

Would like an answer from someone that has dryed in these conditions or has knowledge about this.
Thanks:leaf:

i would say take the fan off them if its cold in there, they could dry too quick so i'd keep an eye on them. resonably you want to be drying them somewhere with room temperature and thats where a fan on low speed would come into play.

Thanks for the input. Yea its only 56F to 57F down there so it is pretty cold just figured the fan would be ok. I don't have it directly blowing on them at all times its going back and forth and plants are in a closed box and i just have the fronts of the box cracked open. I just didn't want to get mold without the fan blowing.

The cold is fine....and I actually prefer cooler temps for drying...less chance of mold...but I'd still keep some light air movement going around the drying herbs....
