Deer meat is pretty much wasted if hit by a car very hard.......force.s blood into all the meat and taste BAD..........sometimes you can salvage a bit....but for the most part no..............Ask any of us country boys we can tell you about that...................unless you are really hurting for food then yea........

ok your not to smart. i have harvested a deer after i hit it with a car. i have even gone and picked one up that was deed no less then 12 hours . dam good meat right there..

was that during winter mygirls? i dont think i'd take it if it was summer and had been dead for that long personally, but i had a crazy friend in the past (passed away now)who was real into trapping and furs and stuff and would pick up alot of dead animals he'd see on the side of the road, whats kind of funny imo is that he actually was good friends with alot of the city workers and all that and managed to get himself a job picking up roadkill, among a few other things. One of the coolest guys i ever met, but he would eat things that would make my stomache turn at times, both because of its amount of time being out and dead and exposed to the sun and that and because of the specific body parts(which i see lately as a misguided taboo of our culture on what is good and what is bad and gross to eat, but i still cant get myself to eat some organs, the heart was fairly easy cuz i'd eaten it and liked lots of things made from it b4 i noticed hearts were part of it, liver wasnt too bad/hard to overcome in the end, but this guy took it to a new level(to me at the time) . "Want to try some racoon brains and eyeballs?" or "it was only out in the 80f at night though *95f-110f during the day) for a few days, if i freeze the meat it will be alright." in the middle of summer where it was humid and hot as hell and all that

it don't get but 60 degrees here mayb 70 tops buring the summer and thats in the derict sun..

hey times are tuff and foods not cheap... if its good why not use it or eat it, found or payed for..

So Im stupid for not wanting to eat meat thats been tenderized my a 1000 lb vehicle? Go for it....I drather have one taht was shot in the head and nothing wasted................but you have the right to your oppion I for sure wont call you out and say you are not to smart.......could of been said alot nicer............

Eating roadkill is actually very common in the USA........there really was a roadkill cafe..............Im just saying I dont want it due to the way the meat is ruined..........of course I would eat a FRESH road kill if I needed to feed my family or someone in need.......kinda like crocodile dundee sure you can eat it but it taste like crap. Not going to argue about seasoning and stuff........

i have shot many of animals that have fallen off of 2 to 3 story rock cliffs, and down very step terain and and the meat has never been bad..
i do a lot of head shots and your one the very few that don't find head shots to be bad thats awsome.. there need to be more of us out there that take head shots..

i wasn't saying your not smart as to be mean, and i didn't call you stupid.. i don't call people stupid..

awesome .....head shots only way to go............but a deer or goat falling down a cliff alot differant that a 60 mph car or truck............and it does bloody the meat up......but like i said if your hungry what the hell.........guess I should of said its not my choice and my reason why............we are cool..........I like your post..............
