Can i cut branches with male flowers on and leave branches with female flowers on?

If you don't have any other plants & it is a hermy then it is ok to keep, but if you have any other plants and you keep if you risk pollinating all you other plants. I personally would get ride of it either way.

From the pics if looks like a male, but it if you also see two hairs in other spots it could be a hermy.

Thanks yes it has female flowers on the otherside of plant,how its 12 days after i put it on 12/12,how long before male releases pollen.Already had to throw a male out,

Within 72 hrs of opening, but if you are going to keep it move it as far away from the other plants as possible and do not put a fan near it (which would spread the pollen all over your grow room). I've also read that hermy plants produce mostly female seeds, so if you decide to keep it you have a good chance of only getting female seeds

you'll get female seeds if the hermie pollen fertilizes a female plant, but the seeds that come from a hermie plant are gonna result in mostly hermie offspring.

yes you can do that but your still gonna have a hermie plant that will grow more male flowers.

I haven't tried creating a hermy myself since I only use clones or seeds from female plants. I've read that female plants that become hermies will produce only female seeds. So the condition of how your plant turned hermy will tell you if it will produce hermy of female seeds. Willy is correct in saying hermies will pollinate female plants which then will only create female seeds.

From what i read on the subject, it depends on the conditions in which the plant was stressed into becoming a hermie. aka, did you get hermie seeds that had a good chance of turning out that way, was it due to light stress on a female or leaving a female in flower an extra few weeks. here is the thread that i was reading, lots of good information on it there.
