I believe 12/12 is the correct light time. Dos it change when you're getting ready to bloom?

12/12 is for flowering. you can veg with anything over 14hr.

First off I would Advise you to do LOTS more reading about Cannabis in general.. Watch some movies if you do not like to read such as, Jorge Cervantes. Just you tube marijuana growing please. You should start out on an 18/6 light cycle.. This allows the plant to veg. Meaning more bud sites= more MJ. Grow in this cycle (18 on 6 off) until the plant is at least 12'' tall. Your plant will triple in size if grown from seed in the first few weeks of 12 on 12 off. So make sure you have head room. Now study up some more on your own then come back and ask more questions once you have a better understanding.

yeah usually when vegging you use a 24/0 or 18/6 (24 hours with lights on, 0 hours of dark)or(18 hours with lights on, 6 hours of dark)

when you want to begin flowering you switch to 12/12 (12 hours with lights on, 12 hours of dark)

Yeah man, you're ass-backwards, 12/12 is what you switch to, when you want to start flowering. Anything between 18/6 and 24/0, is the 'normal' accepted range for vegging. Personally, I like 19/5.

No veg is better for auto flowering strains, and for cloning perpetual grows. If you are growing a smaller number of plants a good veg cycle is extremely beneficial. These plants have a photo period for a reason. Im not saying your way is "wrong" but best for SOG.
