Just stumbled upon ur thread. Love the videos. Subbed and repped!
Thanks for stopping by doowmd!

I'm usually higher than I should be while filming those vids, which doesn't always make for the easiest to understand material.

Lookin extremely healthy Doc,man they got some fat stems in relation to overall size,i think they're preparing to hold up some big-ass buds!

Looks good, man ...maybe i should look in to TGA...
You should Graffity. TGA's strains finish as early as any other seed company, but he doesn't skimp on the quality.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: TGA's Jack The Ripper is the best weed I've ever smoked, and I've been around the block. I've smoked 3 different grows of Jack the Ripper, and even the least cared for grow/harvest tasted of lemons and sent me into another world.

Just the perfect high, IMO.

His strains are expensive, because he knows he has good shit and can charge pretty much whatever, and people will still buy it.

He really has the seed-buying world by the balls in that respect...and it gives credence to the argument that his stuff is primo: people wouldn't continue to buy his expensive seeds if they weren't good, but they do because his strains are uniform, and perform like the descriptions.

Yea I noticed the thick stems too Bloomer, especially that Jack The Ripper stem...really thick. Thick stems are obviously great phenotype traits, so I pray I'm able to breed the only two Jack's that I have.

I hardened them up pretty well indoors with a fan, and then we've had some pretty typical early-spring winds, sometimes for days on end, that really helped.

Thick stems mean better nutrient transfers, and like you said, provide a structure for the buds to stand.

The thing is, these plants should start flowering pretty soon, and their overall size will be much smaller because of it.

Btw, I like your avatar Bloomer...that looks like how every guerrilla grower feels when he's out in his guerrilla garden: on top of the world.

Watered all the plants with a total of 6 gallons of water. I'm not using ANY additional nutes but what are already in the soil.

I'm pretty convinced that spending money on nutes in a bottle is a waste, and while it may help some, it's not necessary to produce good cannabis.

Also, since my main objective across the board is to generate pure-strain seeds, I just need these plants to be strong enough to reproduce....although getting some smoke-able bud is a goal. :weed:

I also brought out an additional 10 gallons of water, and put that in storage for future use at the plot. The way the weather patterns are, I should be able to get away with not watering for at least a week, maybe longer.

However, the plants (especially the auto-flowering plants I have out there) will likely start showing sex within the next few weeks (still no definitive signs yet), so it'll be prudent to check on them at least once a week.

The last thing I want is auto-flower pollen on any of my Cataract Kush, Querkle, or Jack the Ripper, so I'll be vigilantly checking each week. I should be successful in separating all the males I want to keep alive for breeding, without too much worry about random or stray pollination's. The only way I could really mess it up is if I'm not careful about cleanliness.

Once the males have balls, any contact I have with them will be in a separate area, away from the females. Any upkeep or examining of either plants will be done like this: females visited first, then I'll walk to my male plot, and from there, leave the scene all-together. Clothes will also be laundered directly after visiting the plots, to prevent any pollen from my clothes interacting with any of my other clothes. It happens.

Here is the video, along with some pics to document the progress so far:

It looks like whatever waxy/curling was happening with this plant has stopped...but the waxing scarring remains:

I've noticed sporadic signs of early flowering on a few plants, but overall, most plants are unsexed still.

My best Jack the Ripper is probably male it looks like, but this is ok as it'll make a great breeding male for either the Querkle or Cataract Kush if the other Jack isn't female.

The tallest Cataract Kush looks like it'll be a male, which is what I was hoping since I saw how aggressively it was growing even as a seedling.

The other 3 Cataract Kushes are very short with dense branching, very Indica/L.A. Confidential dominant..

Two of the Querkle look to be male so far, but again, it'll be a few more days before any conclusive signs are visible.

Overall, I'm very proud of these 10 plants. They've survived freezing night temps the last week, and pulled through like the genetic champs they are.

So far, I think this is what I'm working with:

I'll be sure to keep a regular check on things. As soon as I'm 100% sure of the above, I'll be moving the males to a separate location, where there will be little chance of early or cross-pollination. Once the male flowers have started to mature a bit more, I'll be trimming flowers from most of the branches, keeping just a few flowering pollen sacks on the plant. It'll look like hell, but the plant will still survive.

This should all be happening within the next few weeks.

Really happy to see flowering in general, as I've never attempted a spring grow/summer harvest before. Also happy that at least 6 of the other plants haven't shown sex yet, holding out hope that they are females. Females generally take longer to show sex than males, so hopefully I don't have a slow-flowering male still lurking in those 6 unsexed plants.

Well today was the day that I moved all the male plants to a new grow site, where they will be secluded and unable to pre-maturely pollinate or cross-pollinate the remaining females.

-Of the 2 Jack The Ripper, 1 is for sure male and the largest plant that I have. Really robust and strong...I'll be breeding with this stud for sure.

The mutant Jack The Ripper still hasn't shown sex yet, which is another positive sign that maybe it'll be female, as they take longer to show their gender, usually.

-Of the 4 Querkle, 2 are female and 2 are male.

-Of the 4 Cataract Kush, 2 are male 1 is definitely female and the other looks to be female.

So 5 males, 5 females total, if everything holds as is. There is still 1 Jack and 1 Cataract
Kush
that could go either way, but so far, they haven't shown any signs of male pollen sacks.

The first video here is of the male plants. The male plants are mixed in with some autoflowering strain males, but I point out which is which:

This male plot is located far away from the females, in a sunken gully that's at least 20-30 feet deep. Anyway, it's like they're in an enclosed bowl of sorts, down 30 feet from normal ground level and shielded by trees.

Here is the video of the remaining females and two unsexed Cataract Kush and Jack The Ripper:

Yeah, it wasn't too bad, but still a pain in the ass. Just picked them up, one at a time, and walked them to their new location.
It had to get done, and it was only 9 buckets in total. I wasn't super careful with them or anything.

They're just male plants, so I didn't mind bangin' them around a little bit. They're hearty plants and can take a lotta abuse.

God I wish I had the privilege to grow weed in Hawaii. The amazing weather there is just made for growing cannabis.

Thanks for following along!
