How many bulbs..

I'll be growing plants using the 12-12 from seed method so I'll be getting trees around 15"-30"... https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread.html

I have already constructed some lights and they're about 6-7" between them... Is this too far? I was thinking of just getting some wood and nailing them to it in a sort of triangle formation and use that for the top of the tree. For the sides I'll be running CFL's and a 400w HPS (hopefully)

So how many lights would I need for a 15-30" tree?

IDK about how many lights you need for the height you want, just remember even if you veg for a couple of weeks before 12/12 it'll help your girls grow more too. When it comes to the lights, for HPS lights I know you dont want them as close as CFL lights, but I've got no experience with HPS lights and limited knowledge with CFL, as im on my first CFL grow. You'll want the CFL to be within an inch or two of the plant, they obviously dont get as hot as HPS bulbs, I've had my CFL lights within a few inches her entire grow and she's doing great! good luck on your grow Millsie!

Cheers man, what stage is yours in?

Also, how big is your tree and how many CFLs do you use on it? (just trying to figure out how much money I have to put away)

my girl just showed her pistils yesterday. I have lst'd her so with her tied down she is about 12 inches from top of dirt to top of her. if she wasn't tied down she would be around 18 inches. She is very bushy as you can see, she is about 20 inches wide. I have 4 150w equivalents and 4 100w equivalents, 2 100watts are below her to give the bottom of her more light, the rest are above her. All the lights are no more than 3 inches from her foliage. Hopefully a picture of her this morning is attached (im on my cell so ots harder to add pics. good luck on your grow!
