I'm actually putting the Indica in my drying box (for extended darkness before harvest) tonight and going to either harvest tomorrow night, the night after, or maybe even 2 nights from now. (depending on my patience) Thanks for stopping by.

Ah makes sense. Well I'm going to get atleast 24 hours darkness and then cut it in as little light possible, then I'll trim them up in a little light.

Anyways has anyone ever documented a grow using like 15/15 cycle? not a standard 24 hour cycle. Would probably have to change your timer daily but that wouldn't be too bad, just an extra minute or two. I know some people flower sativas in 11/13.

and here is a quote from the bible......."All varieties respond to a longer dark period by hastening ripening. Shortening the light regimen down the 10 hours of light and 14 hours of darkness forces all plants, indicas as well as long flowering sativas, to ripen faster."

Sounds good man, I think for my last plant im going to try 11/13 or 10/14 just to experiment. Thanks for stopping by and for the compliments.

So I chopped my plant early this morning after about 40 hours of complete darkness and it went well. I'll post pics and weights in a day or two when done drying. So I quick dried some bud in the oven at 170* for about 30 min. (just those little buds that form at bottom on stems). It worked well and was really high, I noticed a "pop" in the bowl just like when you burn a seed.

Anyways I didn't think twice about it and was kinda confused and when I was looking through the buds just now I noticed a few of them had some seeds. So far I have only found 3 seeds and they seem to be from lower nugs. I'm pretty excited cause I think I had a male in my box about a day or two too long so hopefully its regular seeds. If not its hermie or possibly fem seeds. Either way I'll post the pics of them tomorrow or the next day. The seeds look "female" so far with spots so I'm pretty happy. I'm going to start them in august and see what I get. Like I said the seeds where in the "oldest" parts of the buds meaning that the male might have knocked em up, which I don't mind some seeds. :D

that's cool about the seeds! nothing to lose either way. congrats on the chop gd. the 10/14 thing also sounds good, i'm going to look into it since my girls are approaching chop time.

Alrighty the total weight on the indica was 16 grams which is very good considering half was chopped early and it looks like it will also be the smallest yielder of the 3. My original goal was 40g off of the 3 plants. I think im going to get more than 24 grams off the next 2, just look at these pics :D. The high is getting extremely good now thats its dry and curing on its 2nd day. Getting some smell back, I think smokey saved me days on curing by that sugar/starch thing at night haha.

The sativa just got half strength molasses and water and once she drinks that up a lilttle im going to put it right into darkness, the trichomes are nearly entirely white, just a very few that are clear.

The purp got some nute burn and I flushed it with a gallon of plain water and the next 4 days which is today its had explosive flower growth. I think you guys will like these pics.

Thanks man. I actually was drinking a 20oz coke and the bottle could rest on the other nugs and be short by 1 inch to the top of the main cola, if that makes sense. the bottle is fatter than the nug though.

hahaha, ya I was looking at my camera and found a plant icon, didn't have any issues with blurryness this time. And the quick flash really brought out its true colors.

Ya its about the width of my iphone at its widest part, not including hairs haha. I'm very curious about what it will yield or how much it will all shrink.

Im thinking its actually New York Power Diesel. Because you have to take into account all 3 plants because they have the same parents.

My plants characteristics.

Smell: Diesel smell on plants 2 and 3. Piney bud smell on plants 1.
Type: Plants 1 and 3 60%indica/40%sativa and plant 2 was more sativa.
Bud Structure: Plant 1 was more Indica. Plant 2 was very haze. Plant 3 looks like the bud formation in the picture I linked. Basically a ball of pistils that slowly fatten up one at a time into a long column.
Color: Plant 1 Darker, hint of blue. Plant 2 lighter, pink hairs, very haze looking. Plant 3 is purple haha.

So basically if you look at the other plants that were used to breed NYPD it was NYPD x sativa mexican x aurora indica.

My Friend grew some NYPD and it was THE BEST weed i ever had. He gave me some clipping and I now have a few plants.... one is about 4-5 weeks out and I can't wait!!!!! when i smoked it, I felt the affects before i even exhaled!! I'm I'm not a light weight!

Stoney thats basically whats I've been hearing. Nothing but "the best weed i've smoked" so if it happens to be NYPD hopefully it'll be good. Next plant I'm going to compare to a haze though considering it looks exactly like one. I feel like Diesel strains hit you fast haha.

haha no worries man. You were right anyways. Cause the pic you showed me was a haze, and that has to be what this specific pheno is.

Also do you see the fat ball shapped nug on the lower part of the purp? I think thats like your nug only a single pistil got messed up and it stunted for a few days and then that happened. So next grow if im growing 2 similar plants, Im going to fuck with all of the flowers like that, just mess up a single pistil, top a spot a week into 12/12, just to see if the overal yield is better if you get those polypoloid or whatever nugs.

Moved the sativa last night to darkness and I chopped a nug off this morning after around 15 hours of darkness and I'll be drying, rest of the plant comes down either tomorrow night or the night after. Also once I moved the plant, all the smell went away. That plant smells so much, its diesel too so ya, the nug thats been drying hasn't lost any smell yet.

Also the purp got even more lights, repositioned the lights and took out a 55 watt for a 42 watt and the purps got 179 watts all to herself. Also she got a foliar feeding and water at 1/4th strength molasses and 1/4th strength flower nutes. I didn't want to push it cause of the nute burn a couple weeks back, after this watering it'll be going back to full strength. This plant is very sensitive when it comes to nutes.

Also the indica took 3 days drying 3 days curing and it got to a good moisture and smell level. So thats going to be my benchmark, typically a 3 day dry and then off to curing.

Yea it does look simular to my two stubby's. I think that my stubbys are going to be more potent than the other buds it has so many more trichs(I think its because from what I have learned on this site the reason plants produce thc is to protect the plant from the light I.E thats why the dark period makes more potent because she is building up trichs to prepare for the upcoimg light.you prolly know this already but yeah lol)is because when they got burnt they healed themselfs by growing that group of leaves and they are throwing more trichs to protect itself if it happens again?? But who knows?
Any pics of the drying nugs?

I suppose I can take a pic or two. My buddy just came over and his bum ass squeezed it and messed with it. Anyways it makes sense about the triches, this plant has the most triches on leaves compared to the other 2 and this one had some mad issues.

Just wait another day or two until the entire plant comes down!!!

I think tonight I'm going to open up the box and poke her with some needles or something to sketch her out and push out a little more bud/potency.
