when I stumbled upon that pdf file on erowid a month or two ago.

that short novel +
2 WoW lsd tabs made me realize what entheogens are
and opened the "otherside" of psychedelics to me.

especially the last page....
"For more information about how psychoactive drugs are responsible for the origins of all religion, use an Internet search engine and type in "entheogen"

Looking for LSD?
Contact a dealer in your area. CAUTION:
Following the true religion may result in persecution and/or criminal penalties."

I don't like getting into religion but I DO believe that we are all brothers and our spirits will soon be all together one day.

even though above quote may be VERY biased... once you get a head full of acid, the dose being at least 200 micrograms and a little time to think... it makes a lot of sense.

but once you know. you may want to get everyone else around you turned on so they will wake up. but its a drug. and you could be found "dangerous" just like Timothy Leary.

keep it to yourself. ;)
after all....all millionaires and geniuses "thought outside of the box"

I have absolutely no problem with spirituality. It's great if you're spiritual. I'm not, but it's an awesome prerogative to have. :) Religion, however, is pure evil and I will not speak further of that.

It is not fine to have one and it is most certainly not good to be proud of it.
Well it depends on how far you go with your pride doesn`t it? But give this some logical thinking please, someone which is religgeous would belive that is the answer everyone is searching for an be the rightfull way. Now whatever idea you look at in this way, it will include pride in some manner, you can`t not be proud unless your in a temple working on your ego and willpower all day long but that is my opinion.

And The Cryptkeeper, I don`t think its a correct statement that religgeons is pure evil. Its simply a tool amongst all other things including entheogens, whom which a lot of people in this topic look at as a tool in some manner. Now think of the olden days where we were robbing and killing each other, even though it did not stop killings alltogether and there wasn`t a universal religgeon everyone agreed upon, it did stop some conflicts, not between countrys/tribes but between societys and cultures and put some very wrong things into correct order, talking about moral values here. It did after all play its role in a good way too, like everything else we have used through our times.

If you still beg to differ, I would point to the people looking at entheogens or certain drugs which we take as pure evil. I`m sure we don`t agree with that one!!

But I`m a person who is against religgeon in many ways which is why I pushed the like button on your post. Spiritual people are far better and open minded. But disregarding the details of both religgeon and spirituality and focusing on a common point/weakness, they are both a belief without proper evidence and reason/cause data therefore aren`t proven true but obsessed upon being true by most. This is a limit to how open and unbiased your mind is, IMO. So simply put, I`m claiming religgeon ( Dependant on which one you belive in of course) is mind-closing in its nature, and so is spirituality up to a lesser degree.

After all spirituality has shared points with vitalism. They both belive there is something more special to a living creature which there is no significant proof of. A lot of things have been tried to prove as such including trying to claim the body loses 20 grams of weight upon death when the supposed spirit leaves ones body, nice try as SO MANY else but still not a success. C`mon, maybe just accept they are a fairy tale, after all we have been trying to prove them for millenias and have failed.

If you want to see the bias in beliving things like these, just look at how many times we have tried to!! Soon as we chop a tree down and there is an arabic letter in it we have the islambis chanting and newspapers reporting and looking at this as definite proof. But, however when the plum pudding model of an atom structure, uncertainty principle and quantum physics were proposed, the idea was doubted and literally attacked by other physics professors.

Go to a religgeous person and tell him you prayed last night and felt the energy flow through you and shit and he will be all psyched up reassuring both you and himself of this belief, surely given up questioning!!

Nice attempt on striking up some of the classic debate? lol

Peace

This is most certainly a TL;DR post, but I did. Because my name was in it.

Religion is, and I most certainly will reiterate, pure evil.
