also what is the best soil to use?
ill be using a clone and also starting one from seedling

You should be alright to plant after the last frost. Go to almanac.com to find the date for your area.

If it’s in the ground you may try to condition the soil that’s there. If you’re growing in pots or raised beds mix your own, you’ll end up with better results. Read this http://hightimes.com/grow/subcool/5728

assuming you mean you are transplanting and not direct seeding you should be ok once the night temps are consistantly in the 50s or at least upper 40s. day temps should consistantly reach 60.

I don't know what part of R.I. your from but there is a nice little hydro shop in Sawnsea MA called hyrdo earth they will have what you want.
