Has anyone seen the protests in London? I don't think those protesters will be able to accomplish their goals without our military intervention.

I'm just waking up and I did watch some news yesterday beardo but with all that is happening simultaneously I didn't understand the scope of the demonstration.

LA Times reports:

London marchers protest massive spending cuts in Britain

Tens of thousands of demonstrators throng the streets of London to protest $130 billion in spending cuts the Conservative-led government says are needed to tame a runaway deficit. It was one of the biggest demonstrations since rallies in 2003 against the Iraq war.

Demonstrators march from Victoria Embankment during a protest organized by the Trades Union Congress (TUC), called 'The March for the Alternative,' in central London. (Paul Hackett , Reuters / March 26, 2011)

beardo, it would seem that all over the world the wealthy are doing very well while financial and political influences are taking away from the people.

Do you think we are seeing the rise of the plutocracy as a world government?
What do you get out of this beardo?

Not London, but how about Syria? Hmmm...... take down part of the Axis of Evil? They are killing civilians in cold blood, simply for shouting "FREEDOM".... That sounds like a battle cry to me.... Why aren't we there too?

Anyone from the U.K. ?

I visited Scotland in 1981 when I was stationed at Bitburg AFB.

Lovely people.

Oh and isn't it strange that the very people who are still in favor of the wars we have are now going to wave the peace flag and sully what George Bush I & II worked so "hard-on" ( pun intended ) expanding the rights of President and Vice president.

So then it's okay to spend three trillion on pet projects for the special interests but helping out folks wanting a better life is not okay.

I get it..

Im from the UK and David Cameron needs to step down nobody once him in power he's a rich toff bastard who knows nothing about how the working class live these protests are pointless though
I feel there needs to be a complete political reform because politics is so far behind the times with all the stupid fucking traditions we need to start living for the future and not in the past.

how much do you pay for fuel in the US? because we are paying almost £7 a gallon which is around $14ish and most people are earning minimum wage which is £5.93 is fucking ridiculous well thats my rant over lol

Didn't sound like a rant to me. You are welcome to post from my point of view.
I believe our minimum wage is around $7.25 on the Federal level. California is $8 I think.
US$ 7.25 = 4.52700593 British pounds

Our "Gas" ( petrol ) is currently at $4 a gallon approximately.

It's no joke those at the top are not getting it. There will be no going back if we succeed in increasing poverty world wide.
Glad to see London protesting..

Well with the new trend in shifting money away from the people and into the hands of a select few is going global. They will use the same tactics used in Wisconsin. Ignore the people and continue with the agenda. The Wisconsin Governor even ignored the rule of law by publishing that bill despite the injunction to halt it. We are all being taken for a ride and everyone just sits around bitching at each other. It's time to organize folks. We have to fight back.

So let's see ... The protesters are protesting "spending cuts?" Hmmm ... I see it as the Fat Cat Union bosses vs the producers. The country is broke, even more broke than the U.S., and yet, the unions are demanding something that no longer exists. So, its the union bosses and the politicians against the taxpayers. Its time to wake up ... THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH! Wake up union members, you are being played.

A Global plutocracy ?

The start of the "Soilent Green" future?

I have to admit it's not going unnoticed.

Even with our efforts to Legalize over Decriminalize we see those who want to oppress us because it make them money.

Whats up Charlie.

London has a rich history.
Here is a song about what the People of London suffered through the ages.
The song humbles the listener who may be concerned with self interests

I happen to like Sinead O'Connor but I think the original artist is Ralph McTell Streets of London.
Once we connect the human aspect with the hundreds of thousands protesting it becomes clear these people are not just Union Members they are living human beings who understand just how low the Capitalist world will go in the name of private property.

History of London. http://www.britainexpress.com/London/history-of-london.htm

The over crowded London of the Victorian era is the example I wanted to share. It was a time when the wealthy lived well and their interests advanced while the vast majority lived in sprawling slums.
