currently using 8 kessil 150 watt leds on a 3 by 6 flood table for bloom i have a 4 by 4 set up with 4 kessils for veg this my second grow with these lights
I have no real issues and decent yields with no heat issues
The Kessil H150s use 35w not 150 watts. I have 5 and am not at all impressed with them compared to the ISIS, especially for flower. I have three KEssils($700) covering three plants and one ISIS-fx1 ($399) over three plants and the area under the ISIS are doing substantially better. Kessil are toy grow lights.

this is my 3 1/2 week old baby, I'm using a 45w led glow panel and two 40w cool white flouros. this is my first attempt to grow so i didn't want to get crazy with the investment $. they seem to be growing pretty slow probably cause of lack of light but im happy with them!! lol. I'll probably post more pics as she gets bigger for some feedback. thanks for all the study materials guys! I think I have a new hobby now!!!

How's it going guys I am planning to build my own led light so I know exactly what's inside I plan on using cree or bridgilux 3w leds.I have also purchased a blackstar 240 and plan on doing a side by side comparison (same wattage). I have a few questions before I start buying the materials like

What is the best angle leds to use
Should I include any other spectrums than the main ones like uvb or a 730 nm or any white leds and if so what are the benifits

Thanks for the input and I plan on documenting this in a journal later on down the road also anyone with a strain recomendation that will produce a good smoke, decent yield and is a pretty easy to grow please let me know. I will probally do two diff strains in this comparison

60 degree or 90 degree. 60 will give more intensity and penetration but less coverage area. Try this link to check out coverage areas. I previously misquoted the numbers but basically 60 degree lenses give double the intensity but half the coverage area. They are my angle of choice to get canopy penetration but if you're scrogging or running basically a flat canopy then 90 is fine.

get yourself some 630 660 and 460 roll with a basic setup and push a true 120w through it match it all up as best as you can see if 120w full-power through 3w led beats 120w driven through 240w worth of led at half power i bet it will

From what I heard leds will put out more light if they aren't run at there peak wattage. I've done the math and with the fans my led that I'm building will pull about 180-190 actual watts. There will be 80 3w leds. The blackstar only pully 133 actual watts not sure why.
Anyone know if there's any truth to that statement I read a article on it but can't seem to find it again

I was looking at getting one of these to go with my ecogroled panel and run a side by side test anyone used one of these before?

Yes I just pre-ordered one for a customer and he was kind enough to let me see what it looked like before he brought it home.

First of all the pictures are misleading in size. Its actually like a 10 wide square thats 4 inches thick (super teenie)

When we fired it up it was the brightest light source I have seen in my store. It pierced my eyeballs and left blobby shapes in my vision almost instantly. I wish I could test it more because it looked awesome. Buts its gonna be awhile till I can afford to stock those.
