A Change from LED to HPS- Path Worth Taking!

Hey lg, I was looking through a plant hospital thread and found a pic of plants that look just like yours... They say its caused by big temp swings from night to day. What do your day and night temps look like?

Some varieties, like equatorial sativas, don't take well to cold weather. If you can keep the roots warmer, the plant will be able to take cooler temps than it otherwise could.

ya whodat that does look a bit similar but my temps dont range too much in my opinion with the majority of them temps in the low 70s to upper 60s. my highest in the last few weeks was 81F and my low was 58F thats a 23 degree change which i dont think is too severe and that is the high and low. like i said the majority of temps dont go below 60 and above 75. ive had this happen before so im not worried, im about 99% sure that its just light bleaching. my chron doesnt even turn purple so the low temp isnt too extreme and my high of low 80 is not extreme either. i will single the skywalker(its the tallest) out here in a few days and show you how the yellowing appears compared to what is seen in the photo. thanks for the post though and looking out! always can use help. heres a pic of my diesel with some bleaching which is fairly obvious.

ive never seen light bleach before your the first one ive seen who has it, it doesnt look to bad though. the plants still look great.

if the ones under the led were moved to flower under the hPS you think the switch of lights could have doen it?

well the HPS definetely makes them a lighter green with no change in nutes and when they stretch at different rates some just get a bit close and get bleached. i just feel after all my work of cooling the light and controlling temps that i should have it close to the plants but the intensity in the area is a bit much for as close as i want as sometimes. its only 2 by 4 area so a 600w is a bit over kill but i wanted the most i could get haha!

not over kill at all man, thats about the size of my grow room when i had one.
600 are the shit one of the best lighting options their is IMO.

haha yeah you guys are right! i just hate having the light up like 2 ft above my plants so ill work with a bit of bleaching. if the buds start looking bleached ill for sure move it up since albino buds arent as attractive as some dank green ones!

haha yeah MC im not too sure about whether its a chick or a dude! reminds me of a terrible looking frair tuck from robin hood.

hahaha yeah I just googled albino :lol: its impressive when you stand out in a crowd of albinos.

haha yeah i would definetely say that albino would stick out in any crowd! go right ahead in posting, just more for me to enjoy! i post the recipe along time ago in the 600 but no one even cared but ill make sure to get it in here if you want to try it. ill grab it tomorrow along with the pic of what it looks like fresh out the oven. i was going to take a pic of a slice but forgot when i packed them up for my buddy. hes going to a Lady Gaga concert tomorrow and says that my bars were the closest hes had to hallucinates and probably the most high hes ever been off weed so he was wanting them pretty bad. hes like 50 by the way haha! thinks Gaga is changing the world of music and leaves Madonna in her dust. whats your method for budder whodat?

crock pot overnight on low, I just crumble up trim and popcorn @ 3-4 handfuls for a lb of butter. :-) easy. Oh, I strain it all out with pantiehose and squeeze it really good and there is nothing left but clean processed butter :-)

lol why did my albino thing go away?
yeah sounds just about the same method that i use. i go by that vid that some one posted awhile ago when the 600 was on the butter craze with paula dean! i let mine sit for 12 hrs on low usually during the day if i can so i can mix it up every hour or so. i think you need to add a bit more trim though! i try to use two mason jars pretty tightly packed with trim for 6 to 8 sticks(1.5 or 2lbs) and get amazingly strong budder. unless you got some big hands haha! your albino was missing last night but it has showed up for me today. heres the recipe for the oatmeal bars, pretty simple and taste delicous so i highly recommend them.

Apricot Oat Bars
Ingredients:
Ø Vegetable oil cooking spray
Ø Filling
Ø 1 (13-ounce) jar apricot jam or preserves (about 1 ¼ cups)
Ø 8 dried apricots, chopped into 1/4 –inch pieces (about 1/3 cup)
Ø Crust
Ø 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
Ø 1 packed cup light brown sugar
Ø 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Ø ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
Ø ¾ teaspoon baking soda
Ø 1 ¾ cups old-fashioned oats
Ø 1 cup (4 ounces) coarsely chopped walnuts
Ø 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Ø 1 egg, at room temperature, beaten
Ø 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
Put an oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 by 13 by 2-inch metal baking dish with vegetable oil cooking spray. Line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper. Spray the parchment paper with vegetable oil cooking spray and set aside.
Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the jam and the apricots. Set aside.
Crust: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Stir in the oats and walnuts. Add the butter, egg and vanilla and stir until incorporated.
Using a fork or clean fingers, lightly press half of the crust mixture onto the bottom of the prepared pan. Using a spatula, spread the filling over the crust leaving a ½ inch boarder around the edge of the pan. Cover the filling with the remaining crust mixture and gently press to flatten. Bake until light golden, about 30 minutes. Cool for 1 hour. Cut into bars and store in an airtight container for up to three days.

*you can use any kind jam or jelly instead of the apricots. i went with raspberry this time but have done strawberry and a few others all with great taste. i dont do the sliced fruit like the dried apricots mentioned above, just use a full jar of whatever jam or jelly i decide to go with.

well im all for the stone mediables give me, but i can never seem to not taste the bitter taste of weed in it, it just makes me wanna gag.
wrap one up and send me one you never know i might love it.
j/k though i am actually no longer smoking again.

haha well if you dont like the weed taste then mine definetely woulnt be your style. i personally enjoy the weed flavor in everything and wish everything could taste like that. your not going to smoke once your off probation? or just not currently cause of probation? i havent smoked in a couple months probably cause i got sick over my last break from school and ended up in the ER. for some reason when i blaze now it causes me to get anxious and have some panic attacks so its no fun anymore. sucks but its life and i dont want to depend on anxiety medicine just to smoke weed again. still love growing and have no problem being around it.
