Ok so the second half of the weekend. I took the second hood from the veg room and hung it between the other 2 lights in the flower room! That commercial mover is a workhorse!
Man this is gonna be awesome!
But wait, this ballast wont fire my 2 week old Ushio dual-arc, so I've got a brand new bulb that wont work in my 10 month old digital ballast. I am SO sick of this goddamn digitial ballast. Back to the store. Too bad I can't get frequent driver miles or something. lol
I picked up this EYE-Hortilux Super HPS. The guy said this is the most basic of HD bulbs so if this doesn't work I'll return the ballast to the store I don't go to anymore. The only reason I've been hesitant to return it is I know they are going to hook it up to a regular HPS bulb and tell me it works fine. It must be the way I look or somthing - It seems like they always have the attitude that I am trying to rip them off or something. Not my new store.
I said let there be light! This is pretty damn cool!
Whew, ok calming down....deep breath...They had a new issue of rosebud, about time!
This is my least favorite of the three free, as I call them, Rosebud and Maximun Yeild and Urban Garden. I have learned much from theese free publications.
I finally moved the controler outside the flower room. This allowed me to realize that the dehumidifier was needlessly working during lights on. Gotta re-learn that observation is the cheapest and most powerful tool a grower can employ.
Deep Sweet Grapefruit from Dinafem. Lumens are awesome but I hate the orange/yellow color.
Another pic of the golden bulb's performance.
While at the store I noticed theese new Co2 bags. I really like that they are natural and produce no heat. It says it will provide increased Co2 for 6 plants for 6 months. I got one to put in the veg room because the new 1000watt has raised the temps a bit, though not detrimentally, and I thought some extra Co2 would help them grow as well as not mind the heat so much. It was $28. I am thinking about putting 4 or 6 in the flower room and shutting down the Co2 generator. My Sentinel controller has a remote probe and I think it will reach my veg room so I'm going to get it from flower while the lights aren't on and monitor the veg room with it to see if that Co2 bag works. I'll report my findings.
Till next time, Peace!
