Switching to FFOF and Botanicare full line. Any input?

In the past I've used MG Moisture Control soil from Home Depot and GH nutrients with some cannazym, great white and big bud. Here are the results.


I want to go organic but how "organic" is the Botanicare line? I'm thinking FFOF, Botanicare and Vermi T (once a week). Anyone comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Will i burn my girls if i give them nutes the 2nd-4th week of veg?

ffof is loaded, you really dont need to. but big bud can get hungry and so cana lot of other really large producers just because of how big the roots get and how much/fast they eat. just start at 1/4 strength and kinda gauge what your girls need. i think its a bit of a waste of money to get and use veg nutes, if you have any left over from last grow use that first.

I use FFOF thru veg and don't feed until about 2 weeks into bloom. Then I add PBP Bloom and hygrozyme. Sucanat or molasses every 2 weeks. That's how I did my red dragon and white widow all last summer. You don't really need to feed until they start asking for it. Keep a record if u grow from clones so next time you'll know about when they need it. Use the veg nutes on your moms.

I useFF OF and worm castings with extra large perlite and I can still feed with pure blend dureing veg.Ive use alot of different nutes and pure blend has been the easiest so far,it and advanced 3 part have been user friendly.I just back off the nutes to a little above half strength.You need cal mag when useing pure blend pro ,I use it dureing flower and veg,////Plants grown useing pure blend nutes show a cal mag problem allmost allways late in veg or early flower

I run FFOF and Full Botanicare in VEG and in Flower.NO issues with burning at all.AND i feed every watering at 1/2 strength.

Don't keep moms. I take cuts off of my veg room a week before I take down the flower room. Then after they root, I stick them in cups under MH lights for 2-3 weeks, then transplant to 1 gallons for another 3-4 weeks. Then when flowers are taken down, i transplant gallons into 3 gallon buckets and the cylce continues. So... they are in the cups and gallon pots for all that time I feel I need to feed a bit.

If you are using RO water, botanicare's acidic nutrients will drop a PH of 7.0 to about 4.0. It always brings PH down, so you need to invest in a bottle of PH UP to bring it back up to 6.0ish. Either use a base like baking soda or dolomitic lime, you can dilute those powders into a gallon of water and make your own PH adjuster. Or just buy a bottle of Base PH UP for ten bucks.

Good, natural soil should regulate it's own PH if you don't overdo it with nutes and supplements you don't need. Yeah, PH UP would kinda be pointless if you didn't use a PH Meter....

And you are right, that the high PH of the soil should balance out with the low PH of Botanicare when you water. Actually you could probably get away with watering rockwool with botanicare and no PH adjustment. I try to water rock wool at 5.5, but I bet 4.4 would work too.

I refuse to check PH on my personal grow.
