Someone guide me in the right direction of a DWC set up please!

Can someone give me a link to a post of a how to tutorial of a nice DWC set up. I'm looking to put it under 6k lights. I've seen it on here before but forgot to bookmark it! I want something that has several 5g buckets that hook up to a res. And I've been seeing a lot of RDWC. What's the R? And if there's a link to a nice RDWC set up please provide it. Thanks!

What's up Briantle21 !?

The "R" stands for Real.
Hopefully someone has a ink on hand for you.
Chances are though, you'll be better off looking yourself in the mean time.

Recirculating.... I know you know that.

As for OP,
multi modulated deep water isn't something people really do. Deep water culture is mostly small scale stuff, but 8 linked isn't uncommon and you should be able to find that link.
Also recirculating deep water culture is very un necessary. Bucket with airstone at the bottom is pretty freaking amazing for it's simplicity.

Water farms are pretty cool. http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/waterfarm.html

They use a venturi pipe (pneumatic tube) to pump water from the bottom of the bucket to the top via air pump. They actually sell just the venturi pipes http://www.sunlightsupply.com/p-11693-farm-kit.aspx

You could essentially add one venturi pipe and one airstone to each bucket. Making it a deep water culture. You would just need two air outlets on your pump per bucket. An 8outlet air pump could probably be split at each end for each bucket, but you might just want two pumps. Have one 8 outlet air pump hooked to the air stones, and one to the venturi pipes.

Yah the "R" is definitely for recirculating, allows you to mess with one reservoir and circulate it throughout the plants rather than fiddling with each bucket individually. Although because of the many pumps, tubes, airstones, etc. DWC is not very common on a large scale like you're thinking (6k watts). If you do figure something out I will be watching along the way. Good luck.

Thanks for that Ray.
My bad for being flippant.
Your best bet would be a waterfarm 8 bucket system.
Long proven to be very effective and the design hasn't changed because of that.
They also have larger grow containers w/ rez's in different shapes now too.
Sounds like you might also want to look up Heath Robinson or DoubleD and their vertical 600's since you plan on such a large garden.
Those 2 repeatedly pull 2lb - 5lb dry yields PER PLANT !!
Hell, they may even change your mind about how you set up your garden !!!! lol

damn jesus of cannibis, thats what I'm looking to do. Cool set up. Do you have a step by step with pictures for something like that?

That is aeroonics. Nice setup man you like that better than dwc? Do your spray heads ever get clogged? IMO definately go with the r(recirculating)dwc. Then you only have one rez vs having to change out each plant's nutes seperately. Good Luck.

yeah still looking for a step by step DIY RDWC system. Something that will fit under 4k lights 15ftx15ft room. Anyone gotta link?
