yeah, i'm 100% on that side of the amber debate as well. but it gets trickier when the sugar leaves amber up before the calyxes and trying to tell those apart with the 60x scope, not fun times
. my thoughts on chopping soon were based more on the look and feel of the plants, you can tell when they're looking like they'll pop new growth and get fatter, and when they've run their course. blue cream is definitely there, and amnesia could possibly have another little fattening, so i'll give her a chance! either way, i'm gonna have plenty of dankity dank, just based on the blue cream sample from last week thanks brotha man, appreciate that! i'll be reporting on wet & dry weight, don't you worry. gonna be in growing withdrawal after i chop my babies...

yeah i can't believe that shit with 100 pages! it's like a full length book... i hope not to disappoint with dried weight. i don't think these girls reached their full potential because of heat, dryness, and other issues, but i'm shooting for somewhere around 20g per plant. that would supply me for a good half a year easy! thanks bro, your thread is rocking too -- by the time i was on page 45 i was half way into flowering, so you're doing okShidot Homer! you cracked the 100 page mark and your tallied dried weight is still not up, thats mad

They're both looking ready for harvest if you ask me. The Blue Cream is already showing a lot of amber heads, so I wouldn't have any hard feelings about ending the cycle at this point.

yeah they did. i could be wrong, but i think some heat stress and dryness might have ripened them a little before their time, but it's cool. i'm now refining my guess for dry weight...
yeah, that's the heart of the love-hate relationship with RIU... it's such a great time suck, and when you take a break, coming back is an even bigger time suck cause you fall so behind haha, but thanks for dropping in bro, and thanks for the avatar props!
ok friends. here's my revised schedule. because of a guest visiting, it will be hard to do any harvesting before the weekend, and i want to be around during the dry so i can check for level of dryness and also check for any mold/p.m. so the plan is this:
- thursday night, i start 72 hours of darkness (a la stoneyluv)
- sunday night, chop & hang (it will be the 9 week mark of 12/12)
that means three more days of light for these girls. just watered this morning, so i'm thinking i'll give them a big flush wednesday as their last drink.
wish me luck fellas!!! and thanks for all the compliments and encouragement and advice throughout this thread. made some really good friends through this grow!
oh, and if anyone has any guesses for dry weight for Blue Cream and Amnesia, shout them out! i already have two numbers in my head

Haha, thats my plan, Homie!!! I'm doing the same with Lefty, dark on Thursday and chopped on Sunday before I leave for vegas...Only gonna be gone 4 days, so hopefully she won't dry too much while I'm gone...lol...Sounds good, my friend, Sunday's gonna be a fun night on RIU!

oh that's great meta! four days should be perfect. just don't give them too much direct ventilation (like i did my first grow, which made them dry too fast), but you probably already know that. look forward to thursday & sunday!!!
