IDK.....the screen is hard to get a good seal at the end of the tube.....my hose clamp is covered in oil because of the folds in the screen...the oil travels up the folds and gets all over the hose clamp...I tried a couple times to get a good seal but couldn't manage...even tried the second screen that comes with it so I could try with a fresh screen and it still folded all weird...the coffee filters should eliminate this and put all that oil in the dish...not on the extractor!!!

Copper tarnishes, tarnish can be leached. I'd recommend you properly clean the copper before every extraction, but it's your health, not mine... so whatever
Hey benassi, do you find yield ratios different - depending on if you pack your tube full or not?
I'm contemplating whether to do a 28g run or a 44g run for my first okeif tube extraction... with about 2 cans only
I spoke to my buddy, whom I made the errl with... I told him about the 1 can thing, and he was like "what? nooohh nooooo... all my friends do it like that"

I guess I will just make it as per your recommendations and then obviously we will see

yes it does tarnish and it is extractable but like i said i clean before and after each use if monitored your tube can stay nice and clean for a VERY VERY long time but if oyu keep it dirty yes its going to tarnish Really fast i know its tarnishable but if you keep up on cleaning it you dont have to worry about the tarnish build up i use a ream and cloth before and after each run
its alittle extra work but the bho i get from the 1/2 inch extraction is the best but again tarnish isnt a problem if your a clean freak like me

awesome thread, I've made ISO hash oil and was wondering if you have a video of how to make that too? (for comparison)
My oil came out like green goey tar. I'm dying to know if I did something right, or horribly wrong.

There are a few different teks for ISO, I made it twice, never messed with it again after getting into BHO. It's easy and simple enough as it is. Pour your buds into a mason jar, pour enough 99% ISO until it covers the buds just a bit and shake for no longer than 50 seconds, then pour the liquid into a coffee filter over a pyrex dish... wait for it to evaporate and scrape. Better hash comes with less exposure to ISO alcohol, always. Other teks include water curing your nugs you want to run, then freeze them for a day, then let them soak in a high % grain alcohol for about 3-5 minutes. Seen some of that oil come out as gorgeous as BHO. Others cook off the alcohol on pyrex over the stove and scrape when it's still oily, get some nice honey.
