New Bong,help

just got my new bong in the post,also got to spare down stems which are to long for my other bong.Any advice on how to cut the glass down stem to length???

gotta goto walmart or lowes and get a glass cutting bit.
or a glass cutting knife and cut a lil ring at the bottom and tap it off.

ive used a dremmel to cut these..it works great but remeber to either have someone spray water on the glass the whole time yur cutting or doit yurself..if you dont you can crack the glass.

If you haven't used it already or if you can clean all the resin off, most smoke shops will take it back if you tell them it's the wrong size. At least here they do.

thanks 4 d answers,didnt do it any way yer talkn about, first i tried to tie a bit a string round it an light it with lighter fluid an then put it in water this did not work,so i just broke it off bit by bit with a pliers

Lol you could have even stepped on it. My boyfriend did that to my down stem.... I wasn't too happy about it but it was a very clean break lol

id just go buy another one.. what is it glass on glass fitting? 18mm? cost you like $15-$25 bucks.. cause that would suck to go get the bit and break the one you got, would b a shitty waste of time and money, and i know how it is not having a downstem. it sucks, so don't waste time, or money- you need to smoke, and you need to smoke now!!!!

my buddy gave me a bong the other day without a stem, it has the main stem but not the sliding stem.
the only thing wrong with it was a piece was broken on the upper outer stem that holds the bowl of the slider.
So I just took my metal stem out of the plastic bong and it slides into the glass one perfect
new bong for free! and it has a glass from on the side of it. I named it roach killer, cause the only time i use the bong is for roaches lol

well i got it on grasscity and i wouldnt be bothered sending it back,i Broke it off very clean,the down stem fits perfect in to my two bongs rite in the bottom corner
all i have a leafs at the moment which are pure shit to smoke but do get ya on your way after a few blows ,geting stuff tomorrow though

I had the same problem, and my special stoner strategy was to eat (nasally) roughly 42mg of Xanax, then apparently held it over the edge of the beer-pong table and whacked it with a hammer. I guess the whole thing shattered, as now the male stem of my bong also serves as the female percolating piece, and all I have is that story from a buddy of mine.

Cliffs: Don't use Xanax and a hammer.

Done it again last night with the other down stem,think i have the trick.
First use something sharp with a hard edge to scribe all the way around where u want it cut then i got tape put that around it rely tight an cut the tape with a knife around where you scribed,then get a glass of water and bang the end of the down stem off the sides
not a very clean edge but it worked for me becouse there was no way i was going out and buyn a proper glass cutters
