Cool, yeah it would be a PITA to go through the trouble you guys have and it not work. I'd be PISSED for sure. But yeah man thanks for puttin' that info out there about the different strains though. I'm sure that when I try to clone I'll be contacting you guys on how to get it done. It's all good dude and it's already been worked out. Like I said with any other strain I've cloned it's always been within ten days to see roots. It was just this particular strain that I had problems with. I felt serapis was going thru the same problems that I had encountered and I was just trying to spread some motivation along with a little patience so he wouldn't want to give up.
Peace.
hey serapis I would use DM zone before I would try H202 I only say that becouse you are useing
superthrive. if you drop the thrive you can use the H202. YOUR IN A STATE WHERE IT SUPER HOT
do you use a water chiller? im looking into geting one and not sure what is a good one.
that might be your problem right there. i like to use an exacto knife when taking cuttings. i only use my fiskar fine tip shears for trimming and pruning. i also find that if i make a few slits along the end of the stem where i made the cut, this makes more potential root sites. i also like to take the cut right below the node so i can strip the node and get roots out of it. i also just use rockwool, a dome, dutch master replicator, and a heat mat. i usually see roots in 7-10 day depending upon strain. this is how i do it hopefully you can use some of my info.I also will quit taking cuttings with Fiskars.... I've got the sharp ass micro shears, but maybe they're crushing the cells before making the cut? I need to pick up a pack of blades, maybe visit the hobby store today. I'm going to start the next run as soon as my hormone powder gets here. People swear by it, saying it promotes fast roots so you don't have bacteria and other issues with stem cells...I know the EZC is sterile, after all, I sprayed the bleach solution in it for about an hour.

ST has organic propertys that H202 will kill. i did some research and in some cases with warm water ST can cause bactira/pithium to grow due to the organicsI pay a heavy price and use a window AC to keep the grow area and nursery cool. What is in ST that is harmed by h2o2? I know it is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, but what in ST has bacteria?
The Clear REZ that came with the EZC has a faint smell of bleach.
I love simple.... I really do....it should make a difference. it might not solve all your problems though. the way i learned to clone was to just keep it simple and the plant will do the rest.
You'll need to add fertilizer after about 6-8 weeks. Watch for yellowing and you'll know when. I'd mix in some perlite to help with drainage and any organic matter that you want. MG bloom is a good fertlilizer. You'll need to add Epsom Salts, 1 tsp per gallon of fresh water or top dress with pellet lime for the Calcium and Magnesium, as MG Bloom doesn't contain those two nutrients. Your tap water may.Hey serapis, way off topic with your thread but I have a few questions.
I see in a few other threads that your one of the few people that use and like marical grow. When I transplant my plants outside, I'm planning on digging 3x3x3 holes and mixing MG garden soil 50/50 with the native soil.
Is there anything else you would recommend adding to the soil?
Is there enough nutes in that to last it until flower? And would the MG bloom fert work for flower?
I would really appreciate your input. Its my first serious grow and I'm trying to keep it kinda simple
I saw that you participated in a thread about the EZC and bleach. I may go that route. I'll skip ST this time....ST has organic propertys that H202 will kill. i did some research and in some cases with warm water ST can cause bactira/pithium to grow due to the organics
so you might want to try not using it. I use it but in foiler feeding
I think you are on to something with the cloning issue. Nodes are where it's at.
