Hey everybody this is my first post and I just want to say this is a really great site. Looking forward to learning more as time goes by. I'm in the progress of setting up my first grow room. I need some help on ventilation for the room. I want to set it up the best way possible and was hoping for some pro advise from you guys. Here is my set up.

Room 8'W x 14'L x 6'H ---- CF 672'
Growing space is 4'W x 8'L
Lights are going to be 3 - 600w
Room is covered in panda film floor to ceiling
Room is located in cool crawl space.

How would you guys bring air into this room and out of it?
Cold air inlet ducting size?
inlet inline fan cfm size?
carbon filter size?
carbon filter fan cfm?
Hope I gave enough info.

I have been reading and reading and have a idea. I just don't want to make any costly mistakes. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'll post a few pics when it's up and running.

Thanks for your help,

Lil confused

How would you guys bring air into this room and out of it? I CANT HELP ON THIS ONE... SORRY BRA.
Cold air inlet ducting size? I WOULD USE 8"
inlet inline fan cfm size? GET A 8" 720CFM HYDROFARM ON EBAY FOR LIKE 120 BUCKS, THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR EXHAUST AND COOLING OF THE 3 600 LIGHTS(IF MONEY IS NO ISSUE GET A VORTEX).
carbon filter size? I WOULD RECOMEND THE CAN FILTER 100, BUT YOU CAN PROBABLY GET AWAY WITH THE CAN FILTER 50(IF YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY, YOU CAN GET A NO BRAND NAME 47LB CARBON FILTER ON EBAY FOR A GREAT PRICE, THAT FILTER WOULD BE PERFECT FOR YOUR SETUP AND SAVED YOU A LOT, I GOT ONE AND IT WORKS GOOD).
carbon filter fan cfm? USED THE SAME EXHAUST 8" HYDRO FAN TO CLEAN THE AIR.

I like the idea of isolating my light exhaust from my room exhaust (or a sealed room preferrably) I do agree that I think a 8" HO inline fan would most likely cool that area. You could have 2 8" passive intakes, or a 8" powered intake with a squirrel fan or something. There are tons of solutions. I use a sealed room in which I vent the lights from one area, through the reflector to another room for exhaust completely sealed from my room, then I have a portable A/C to cool the room/dehumidify.

Go for a legitimate inline 8" fan like the guy above said. You can have Carbon filter in high point of room - > Inline Fan -> sealed ducting to light relfectors - > exhaust out of room out of room. Don't go above 80 or so for long periods if you aren't using co2.

Thanks for the reply's.
How would you guys bring air into this room and out of it? Sorry for the confusion on this question. I have a good place for cold air intake and good places for exhaust outside under patio. I'm looking for what the flow path in and out of room should be.

Yesgrowingpassionyes:
Is this how I'm reading your reply.
8" cold air duct coming into room attached to a vortex 8" 747 cfm fan. That same duct goes threw my hoods and exhausts into the room at the last light. Then use another vortex 8" 747 cfm fan attached to a carbon filter, can size 100 exhausting to the outside.
Did I read that right? You think this set up will keep the room cool enough?

no the air intake is passive, carbon filter--->Fan---> hoods----> exhaust... the fan will pull air from the intake hole. no need to be connected to the hole, yes it will keep your room at a good temp, if your using alot of ducting, i will add 1 or 2 duct booster to help the vortex.

Just wanted to update my choice.
I went with a can filter 100---->8" vortex inline fan---->two SS 1000W Block busters & 10" passive cold air intake. I'll share pics after its all set up.

Thanks again for the help.
