ive been picky with food pretty much my whole life. i dont eat fruits and vegetables. i order my burgers plain. theres a lot of foods i WILL NOT put in my mouth haha

is anyone else like this?

me and my dad found out i had a half brother when i was about 12 years old. the first time we all meet up, we go to a mcdonalds and all 3 of us ordered our burgers plain. that makes me think its something to do with genetics

Not me, I'll eat just about anything once. Especially if I have the munchies! Only food I absolutely can't stand, won't touch, ignore as an ingredient in recipes, etc.. is mustard.

I'm a super picky eater. no lettuce, no nasty ass larval lookin tomatoes, none of that shit. I like salsa though... if it's all mushy. i crunch an onion & i gag. instantly. like beans & peas & rice & shit like that but no leafy green shit. rabbit food. tastes like grass... the yard kind, not our kind.

not my dog.. that fucker will puke and eat his puke back up ... i have to chase him away in order to clean it up.. and he just did what almost made me puke watching it... i hocked up this nasty lugie that was stuck in my throat for the last couple of days, and spit it out onto a paper plate, and sat it off to the side of my table... don't you know he comes over and slurps it up.. i yelled at him and he still ate it, god, i almost puked watching his big tongue slurp up my green lug, it was sooo nasty, lol..

but your onto something.. i watched this show where this lady won't eat anything but i think it was french fries, and her kid is now the same exact way, ff's only.. they tried to dye her ff's blue, but she wouldn't eat them, she all started crying and shit, it was kinda funny to see her reaction to blue ff's..

i'm the same way with tomato's.. i hate them, yet i'll eat the shit out of salsa.. makes no sense to me, but i think it has to do with the texture of tomato's vs salsa... idk, but i laugh about it all the time..

i am very picky. i don't like mixed meats on the same sandwich, i don't like bacon on a burger. i don't like a burger without cheese. i don't like meat that is not lean. i hate cheap supermarket "chuck" *vomit*. i love veggies and grains, i like beans but i hate kidney beans. black beans are preferable to pinto, i don't eat pinto by choice. i HATE refried beans, looks like a nasty pile of loose dogshit. i love fish but don't care for salmon so much. i prefer fliet mignon over other cuts of beef but i hate the cheap skinny steak they call a filet mignon at the cheap grocery store. it has to be 2inches thick+. i love cheese, especially raw sheepmilk cheese. i hate american cheese and margarine. i love cheddar, the longer it's aged the better. :hump: oh, i hate cheap oil too. i always use olive oil at home. i hate fatty meat of any kind.

I think it's good to be picky. You should always question the food your about to eat & know where it comes from. If your a really picky eater it wouldn't hurt to get some cooking skills so you can make your own food.
Yea i do believe food is genetics, like for example a traditional meal that comes from your ethnic back round. Traditional meals are awesome, because it's a way to connect with the past from a dish that was made exactly the same some time ago.

I'm a very fussy eater, i only eat ground beef( if crumbled when cooked) and chicken, and it must be very well cooked, I hate lumpy sauce, i only eat ragu or tomatoe sauce i make.
When i was young i only ate butter and parm cheese on pasta, no sauce until i got older, evn ate my cereal dry lol
I love onion powder but hate the texture of onions.
I fear eating fast food unless its subway or pita pit.
I've made it a point to be able to grow food i can eat this summer, i did last summer and nothing beats fresh baby poatoes, corn, carrots, beans and some bbq grilled chicken!
If the world goes to shits i will sell seeds and live like a good muhahahaha

lol at you april.. i used to only eat skeety with butter as a kid too.. i think a lot of kids are like that..

and i've been growing me own veggies for the past ten or so years.. in the summer we hardly ever need to go the supermarket other then for stuff i can't grow like milk and tp and meat.. but i love to grow veggies and it gives me such a feeling of independence that i really enjoy..
i just got some seeds from baker creek and am going to try starting from seeds this year.. i started a veggie garden thread but the only response i got was someone telling me that this is a weed forum and not a veggie forum, so i got a lil pissed off about the whole thing.. whatever though..

I really dont get why people are fussy about what they eat, its about every 3 months I turn down a food just because I`m feeling dodgy that day.

But when I have the munchies I`ll eat anything, no kidding. Just sit there eat half a box of corn flakes out the packet lol I can emtpy whole fridges :D

i was thinking the same thing msbotwin.. but i don't know how rough hemp tp would be.. i was in spain, and i don't know what on earth they make their tp from in that country, but it felt like it was made from corn cob, and not even processed corn cob, just straight up corn cobs, lol... never been so glad to be back in the us, lol..

I'm not picky at all. In fact, i LOVE variety, and trying new foods. That's why i love living in the Chicago area. Italian food, Mexican food, Greek food, Chinese food, Japanese food, Filipino food, Vietnamese food, German food, Southern BBQ, Indian food, El Salvadorian food, Honduran food, Fried Chicken places, sandwich places, fast food places, and so many other styles of food around here. I love so many types of food, it's hard to find something i don't like.
