I name all my pieces. Unfortunately 'Claud' hit the garage floor on my way to class this morning and died. He was my little travel toker Chameleon Glass pipe. Went with me everywhere for the last 2 years.
This new girl has done well in his honor tonight. I think the name should come in a start of extreme creativity that the piece itself has provided. -RT

No worries, he had a good long life. My head shop girl will replace him kindly with another Chameleon Glass pipe. She always hooks me up well, unfortunately her big pipe prices are just out of my league so I had to get the triple tree online. I want to hook it up to an extreme vape and let the fan fill it and then just take a cooled vape hit, but I need to get the vape first.

Interesting, I just googled it. I'd never seen that one before, there's a pipe very similar advertised in the mags that looks similar in that it uses a glass tube to heat the herb. I've heard those work best with hash and hash oil, but are only so-so with actual bud, let me know how it goes. I've got 2 vapes, the Hot Box and the Vapir O2 mini. The Hotbox I give 4.5/5 and the Vapir a 3/5 as far as quality. The HotBox has awesome service, my first one died and they replaced the whole thing for $12 shipping.

So some of my friends came over later last night, all classical musicians like myself. We were talking about Gustaf Holst because we recently played The Planets suite. As we were talking and ripping on the new pipe the conversation shifted to the Greek Gods and Goddesses, because contrary to the title of the piece The Planets is actually about the Greek Gods and not the planets. Which gave way to a mad wiki search to see how many strange gods we could come up with to write music about. Along the way I found Philotes, the minor Greek Goddess of affection, friendship, and sexual intercourse; the daughter of Nyx (night) and sister of Eros. (Talk about a a mother, daughter, daughter team... sorry.)
The other possible affiliation of the name is from Orson Scott Cards, Ender's Game where a philotes are a subatomic particle, smaller than any other particle and they are the building blocks of all matter. I loved OSC's books, but I think I like the Greek Goddess of affection, friendship and sexual intercourse better.
Anyway, I decided that Philotes is the name of the new girl.

It cost me $149.00 + $15 for shipping, the sale price went up so it's now $180, but it's still better than a triple tree from HBG for $950+. Damn good value and the glass is quality, I measured it with a caliper and it came out at 5.2mm thick, a little thicker than advertised.
