Not getting potent output

I have grown twice and both times the bud looks great. huge, red-haired, but it's not very potent, barely gets you high. I am using a 400 watt metal, and only growing one plant in ample space. Anyone ever experience this?

Did you let it cure properly? It takes 4 weeks for it to reach its peak potency.

Potency in my opinion is the genetics. What are you using for seeds? High potency seeds grown in excellent conditions will always give high quality smoke.. start off with some White Rhino..White widow... Sensi Star ...Grow it in good conditions ,cure it right and you should be pleased..

That sounds worrying seeing how I am on my first grow, but I am growin some snow white so Gardenandcats is probably right about a good strain and genetics. What are you growing? If its a bagseed did you smoke the bud it came from? (sounds obvious but alot of people have seeds given to them)

Either your harvesting a few weeks to early or your not curing them right/too fast, unless the weed bagseeds came from was bunk you should expect the same potency(within reason) as what the seed came from,i would look into lengthening bud time & looking at your curing technique.

maybe youre letting them flower to long THC can break down into CBN (or somthing like that) if you let it flower to long

are you using the 400 metal halide for the entire grow? That light isnt good for flowering you want to go with an hps
