First from Seeds - Droop Save?

So I just recently started my first grow from seeds. I germinated in water for 24 hours above hot water heater. Then planted in JiffyPots w/ soil from HomeDepot $7 big bag. Have two 100w daylight CFL's right now and placed the seeds underneath for 18hours on and 6 off.

Well I was watering with a spray bottle a few squirts per plant, and I read that I am suppose to do a table spoon. So I added a table spoon, to one 2 inch plant and the next day it is drooping way down. So today I checked and it is doing it still. Can I save it?

Also out of the 7 only 1 have sprouted and yet all sank to the bottom of the glass in germination. Should I still wait it has been 5.5 days.

wait you will never know how long a seed takes to germinate..i only soak for 2 or 3 hrs and i put them in a paper towel and a plate and bowl then i put them on top of my tv i mostly always get 100% germination rate and they pop within 3 days then straight to the coco coir starter plugs

The only thing though I have read about putting them in paper towels that you can potentially rip root hairs when taking them out of the paper towel.

I will let them be then, what about the drooper?

i never damage the roots when i do it just get a spoon and scoop up the seed... how close are youre lights if they are too high then your seedling will strech and tend to wilt over... what soil are you using?? what kelvin is your light? whats your temp?

Go back to misting them, a tablespoon isn't enough water unless you're doing it about ten times a day.

i agree and i have put 10 seeds in a cup to germinate and had to wait over 9 days for the last 2 to split nirvana auroa but they did....i get all seeds from nirvana thats the only time had problems

Alright so the one is dead definitely. Its all flopped over and wilted up. So hopes for the other 6 to sprout sometime...

Two CFL's are 8 inches from the soil. Lights are 5000k I believe as they are daylight. Temp is 75 to 80 degrees(heater). Soil is organic ph balance cheap bag from home depot

get about 3 or 4" away from your plants are you planning on usig those lights through out your whole grow??

I have a similar question. just started my first grow. started 10 seeds in 1" rockwool cubes. On the third day they were all coming through the surface. on the 4th day i took off the humidity dome and put them under a cfl. they looked super healthy and were growing fast. watered about once a day when rockwool went dry with a very mild nute solution. its been about a week and all but 2 have fallen over. they still look healthy and green and are starting to root through the bottom of the cubes but they cant hold themselves up? what gives!? humidity is about 50%. temp goes from 65 night to 75 day. light is about 6" from the cubes. any ideas other than wait and see?

No going to switch to warm when in flowering. I just think the one that flopped is dead I mean wilted, brownish...sounds like death. I only gave it a table spoon though :/

I am guessing this happened because they were in a little box with celephane over the top = 90 to 100% humidity. I take it this could of killed it as well...

yah both of you just lower your lights to about 3 or 4" from the plants and take them out of the humidity dome. it might be temps if they get as low as 65 just keep it around 80
