i did you a favor and and asked him on reddit only nichia osram and bridgelux are in his systems he also is the one developing the newer diodes with these companies just wait he says a new multiband led is coming no more need for figuring out red to blue ratios

The other widespread application of 660nm LED is anti aging lights for more youthful looking skin. I wonder which LEDs, wattage, angle and blah blah is used in this bulb. If they are 2 watt bulbs I could increase the amps to push more juice through. Even if they are only 1 watt and angled right that would be under $2 a watt. Also laser pointers use 660nm. I imagine a future where people will be using a software canopy map to accurately blast bud sites every few seconds with 660nm lasers for ultimate bud production while using unprecedented lower levels of wattage. In the mean time one of my favorite activities is spinning up a fatty putting on, "my sunglasses at night" and sitting under my lights with my ladies. If in fact there is an anti aging effect to 660m I'm for sure getting it. lol

you prolly also gonna get eye damage if ya aint wearing glasses lol my blue spot came with a warning 'do not look at this light directly at a distance closer than six feet or you may trigger macular degeneration'
Yeah I do believe some LED panels put out UV and such, and are just generally extremely bright. Always a good idea to wear glasses working around LED lights, even better when looking directly at the LEDs while on... duh!
If you don't feel you need safety glasses working around your LED then one of a few things has happened. 1 - yours eyes have been severely damage 2 - You bought a crappy LED light 3 - Your LED light is weak/small and you need a much more powerful one

I think reasons 2 and 3 are the same thing
2 - 1w or 3w(the kind that is 3 1w in the same dome/lens) , 120 degree lens, wrong or limited spectrums/wavelengths
3 - Ones LED isn't powerful enough for the space it was assigned*

dude i got my stuff from says he bleached the hell outta his plants in a tiny 2 square foot space with his old 1st gen 50w from just a few inches away and that was with 1w diodes so yea i bet you could bleach the crap out of your plants you put enough power into a small enough space
I was managing my 395w (thats true draw counting 6 fans) at 7-8 inches from the tippy tops of my plants and experienced no bleaching, but others have. It seems to be strain dependent, but I would say that if you can get your LED light to within a few inches you should (although if you can it probably means your light is weak).

I have 2 BlackDog BD220 draws over 200 w each in a 24" x 27" area the lights are 24" above the tops not to worried about the height issues but the watts in a area dont thiink I have seen any info on that
GrumpyOldDreamer uses the Kessils as well as Viagro. Don't see them around this thread anymore..

I get emails from alibaba, and had one come across that led me to this company (Wayet lighting) which is using the spectrum very similar to Solaroasis' patents, "perfect" blend IMO:
Full spectrum: Red 660nm + 630nm Blue 475nm + 430nm
Orange 615nm
White 4500k
IR 740nm
UV 380nm
2) Special Ratio: 77%Red,10%Blue,7%Orange,3%white,3%IR+UV
The company has a decent looking website, and purports to be using name brand diodes. They also sell HID fixtures, so a plus? They also have models of 1W, 2W, or 3W chips. Unfortunately need to bank transfer to trade with them. I wish I knew why you can hardly ever just buy something from a Chinese company. They could do Paypal at least...
But aside form that I think I'll inquire about pricing anyhow as this is exactly what I was looking for spectrum wise, if only the angles were tighter. Still much cheaper than building it myself, and check out this funny page of how they describe this panel, along with what alibaba tried to look for, haha!

you need more than bank transfer which is expensive youll also have to pay mad customs duties youre paying way more that way than by going by some other local company reselling the same lights
