It seems that way in soil pretty much...something in the peat or something must soak up the cal mag

You know it actually is . I have only done it twice and always have roots in 11-14 days . Seems the most important thing is keeping the temp , pod moisture just right , and humidity are key . Keep these three items in check , roots every time . I was using drops for PH too , so I never knew the exact PH of the water so I'm not too sure how critical that is . But with humity if it's too low they will droop , temp definatley needs to be warm I never monitored it but would check it once my dome once it heated up to be sure it wasn't to warm and allowed some variance for ambient temp rise. About 83 is where I'd set it . I use peat pods , if they are too wet the clones will droop some but will also seem to stall.

For temp control I sit my clone tray on top of a household heat pad set that plug into a timer to override the auto shutoff (30on 15off) . At this stage I keep about 1/2 in. of water in the bottom of the tray . This buffers the temp and keeps the humidity up . The temp of the water stays up while the pad is off maintaining an even temp . I'm gonna run some more soon and try getting the PH dead on (just got a meter) , and let the pods dry out some after soaking them , I did these right after soaking them and they stayed too wet .

Things are looking good in the garden . Plants affected by the calcium def. have recovered well . Medibud even greened back up and recovered . She's is about to be in her 11th week . She has filled in nice , this plant seems to form resin more so on the buds and not so much on the leaves . The resin is cloudy with amber here and there. Will give her to next friday tops. I got ISS in veg itching to jump into flower . CheeseQuake took longer to root than Plushberry but they will go up top to sex soon .I'll just let these flower out as they are if their female .

Purple Flo and Blueberry Express are showing resin like I haven't seen before . I'll have to work on some pics .
