so you are alleging that a cable box has the capability to pick up your conversations in your living room and then transmit them? how exactly does it recieve/pick up these conversations?
Because man!

ALIENS!!!!!!!

Fuck the government, I scream plots to overthrow them into my TV a least 7 times a day.

Here ya go last thing im postin about it

popular video circulating on You Tube shows the discovery of a spy camera and a microphone hidden inside a digital TV converter box. Such devices are part of a government and industry surveillance program that is undoubtedly connected to the forced digital TV switchover being rolled out in the UK and US.

“I could not believe my eyes,” states the blurb accompanying the video clip, “I have a friend who is kind of a conspiracy theorist. He was trying to convince me that many of the digital TV convert boxes that are coming out have microphones and cameras built into them. Knowing a bit about electronics I bought one of these devices opened it up fully intending on proving him wrong. To my surprise he was right. This device has both a miniature camera lens and what looks like a microphone. I was so shocked I took pictures and video. Please send this out to everyone you know who is using one of these devices.”

The camera and microphone were hidden inside a MAGNAVOX TB110MW9 Digital to Analog Converter box. We are not suggesting that every digital cable box has a spy camera and microphone inside, so ripping open your cable box is not a good way to prove this one way or another - but the fact remains that companies like Google and Comcast have openly announced that they plan to use hidden cameras and microphones inside their products to spy on consumers.

lol whether or not there is propaganda in the url if you go on youtube you can see that in the Magnavox receiver had microphone and cameras in it lol thats all im sayin like i said b4 im not assuming i no everythin on the matter. The guy said how would you receive the transmission so i said in one study they found camera and mics in over 1 million receivers. Theres even videos of it if you dont believe me check yourself this was back in 2008 but still and im not sayin there in every unit but in this case they found a bunch.

I belive true gaming can only be done with a nice keyboard and mouse. Its not just the fact that a gamer using PC will always own the gamer using the Xbox (if they could have a war) but its the skill you can put in the game while playing on a PC. Like playing Quake3 Arena on a computer, theres no end to how fast you can be!! Or Starcraft which I don`t play if you wish. Either way the point is, a keyboard and mouse are a much precise and faster human to computer connection than other devices, so far.

Xbox is designed for relaxed, laid back gaming which is still cool but I wouldn`t personally buy a console.

And I always knew something new such as Kinect would fail against the pleasure from a PC or controller game. I told my friend so when he bought it, even though I had never even heard of Kinect.

But when properly developed, these gaming consoles will dominate PC gaming, up until then anyone who wants to spend their money, go ahead!

Nuff said! :)

the "forced digital switchover" has been up and running in the US for 2 years already. it is merely a standard for broadcasting and recieving. it was done because of money, not spying. i fielded even more ridiculous calls about that than i did alleged the spy boxes. and a "digital to analog converter box" and a digital communications terminal (dct or cable box) are completely different devices who "answer to" completely different entities. the "camera lens" that these freaks are carrying on about is more than likely the infared detector that is nescesary to use a remote control. i repeat. there is no software or hardware on a cable company issued cable box that has ANY capability of transmitting sounds or pictures from inside your living room. and you do realize that the xbox and ps3 cameras aren't actual "cameras", right? they only make mathmatical calculations based on things like proximity and whatnot. they are not for video purposes. note that you still have to upload a photo to facebook if you want your puss on the screen. and if they could see you they would have to get through the supreme court first before they could do anything with the info. the sky is not falling.

edit: i have a friend who still swears that furbies (remember those talking gremlin toys?) had cameras in them so the russians could spy on our children while they play. the furby had an electric eye looking thing on its forehead, and the conspiracy freaks had a field day with those things too. and that was in the 90's before all this "real" technology came out" it's a simple matter of people not understanding how their devices actually work.

WHY KINECT IS LIGHT-YEARS AHEAD OF IT'S TIME. WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF IT YET.

Yeah, its a shame gaming is still leaning towards graphics, user interface and show-off things.... They just want to make money out of us as usual....

Its another stupid gimmick, just like the Wii.

I have a feeling the reason they pushed back Gears of War 3 is to integrate Kinect into it, similar to the way Sony used the Move with Killzone 3
