plant question

so since i have switched my plant from 24/0 to 18/6 there are new leaves opening at the base of each branch is that good someone told me that meant it was a male??? please help first grow nice plant even if its male imma keep it just to get what i get ya kno but i have 5 20w cfls on it and soon ill have 6 hopefully this is enough and can i grow from start to finish with this setup?

You won`t know the sex till a week or two into 12/12 and with the CFL`s if u can afford it then get more, Ive read threads on here and seen people grow successfully with less watts, Also what spectrum are the CFL`s? As you will need daylight bulbs 5000k+ for vegging and 2700k spectrum for flowering. Also everyone will tell you the secret to success with CFL`s is keep them within an inch of your plant, Good luck with your grow.

well i dont have anything ball looking it just looks like new growth and i grabbed one of light boxes there 2700k thats what i have been using since the start and man let me tell you i mean im sure youve all seen it but my plant went from and inchish to like 6 inchs 10 branchs 4 of which have 7 finger leaves and do i need to switch my lights since i hace been using these all along?or should i just switch to 12/12 cause im on week 3 next monday will be 4 at the beginning of week 3 i switched my light cyle from 24/0 to 18/6

oooops lied to you have been using the 20w cfls im not sure what spectrum cause the 13w is 2700k so is the 20 better for veg and when i decide to do 12/12 i should replave all the 20ws withs the 13w-2700k ????

ok so thank you for the guys who have commented but i mean whats up riu when i used this site like 2 years ago i could post a question and get 10 comments in like 20 mins now i have to wait three days for answers that sometimes i dont even get have the riu guys given up on me or did i do sumthing wrong like i remember a time where i would sit in the chat and talk to the admins for hours on end including fdd2blk, and a few others he was my buddy but anyway can i get some help with my questions

dude relax... not everyone is posted on this site 24/7.. we are all more than happy to help you out..but what exactly is your question?? you should really consider grabbing some 6500k bulbs for vegetation..2700 is for flowering..i know they work for veg too but plant really like the blue spectrum during veg..post some pics up man, thats what these people wanna see.

Don't listen to the uneducated, misinformed moron who told you your plant was a male. Sexing takes time and patience which you can not find here on RIU. The actual data, the truth, can be found here on RIU.
Plants that branch out from nodes on either side of the main stem are side shoots. Completely normal.
To sex a plant, cut it's light back to 12/12 and wait. Males look different than females. Do your homework and look up the differences and you will find yourself on your way to becoming a professional grower. Isn't that what you want?

i guess lol i just want to grow a plant it be beautiful have bud smoke my own product grace all of you with props and respect for helping me so much and thank you for callin him that lol makes me feel better for sum reason i cant get my webcam to work without the disk and i cant find that of course and we havent had a digital camera welll since they were invented im prolly gonna go buy a cheap one next wensday in the mean time ill continue to look for the discand just a small update man i dont know much but i have to say its one of the prettiest plants ive seen on here for its age

I couldn't have said it better myself...smoking my own bud is the best. The first time I grew, I wouldn't share it with anyone, mb a few close friends. I turned down big bucks and didn't care cuz I had me some fine ass white widow and it was intense. I wish the same for you.

well thanks bud im gonna get a camera as soon as possible so my plant is like 7-8 inchs and its just solid branches beautiful leaves lair after lair of them new growth at the base of every branch now i have to ask why do i see so many plants on here that are like just tall and skimp as hell no offense cause ive seen some beautiful bud on those plants but still like am i doin something wrong or am i doin a good job

Your plant's will stretch in flower, if your talking about flowering plants looking tall and skimp. Many reasons why plants might be stretched in veg. not everyone can keeps a cfl within a few inches of their sprouts. In time your plant will stretch out keep in mind they double and sometimes triple in size during flowering so that 7 to 8 inches is a small part of where your trying to get.

ok so i have one small question or big but my question is should i begin topping my plant before i flower it or should i do it after flowering or should i just let her go right now shes small and bushy much like another post i just seen mimmen you commented on it

Don't get a big head but u did a good job. U provided exactly wut the plants needed to get to where they are. Count how many weeks ur in veg and then decide when the plants look about right....flip them to 12/12. With me it was about 6wks.
Then decide how many colas or main stems u want. It u top them at about six weeks u can get 4 real nice main colas. Big and plump. I did it that way. Worked for me. But u gotta decide wut u want from the plants
