I can now see why one would need a trimmer what a cunt of a job lol but wouldn't the trimmers trim away alot of bud aswell, im not upto date on how those things work?
Rusty yep its 1 of 3 white widows, ive got 5 other plants going atm 2 in flower blueberry gum, super lemon haze and vegging querkle, lsd and afghani #1 ill have some variety in a few months, but ill be smoking ww for a while it looks like lol
I wouldn't have a clue what the wet weight is i dont own whales, but ill get a group shot with all the buds and we can play a guessing game
ill be borrowing my mates whales when its all dried so i can see where im at yield wise, so far its looking good, the buds in the pictures are only from 1 plant ive just finished chopping 2 more big plants, so alot more buds now, im gonna struggle to get them in one picture now 
ill post the harvest pics of the other 2 plants 2morro and get a "group shot: when i get a chance

kewl good to know thnx. i dont hate trimming by hand its just a mission when theres so many lol, i take too long trimming because i try to not rough handle the buds as much as possible and take my time doing a good job quality is everything, so i dont think i could cope seing the buds bouncing around in a trimmer lol

Personally, as I use a trimmer myself ( have also hand trimmed ) can say from experience, the difference between hand and machine trimmed bud is 0. The trichome/crystal loss is so minimal, I got just as blazed smoking both, due to this I see no purpose or point to wasting time that I could be smoking perfectly machine trimmed bud. Each to there own, that's my 2 cents.
with my new setup im running 6 * 1000w HPS in a space of 2m * 4m. fully lined with mylar, using 95L pot in pot sitting on milk crates, the brain is 2 * blue 44 gal plastic drums connected too each other constantly circulating the two together, running 2 * 12inch air stones in each tank powered by a 3500L/Hr air pump/tank. im running a run too waste system and growing in coco i water 30 seconds every 3 hours.
i also have a 2m * 2m clone, raising room which runs 4 * 600w HPS
my last grow was similar setup too this and averaged 4lbs a plant.
does anyone else run a similar system and what are the yields your getting ?

an i made my own trimmer up. i got a 240 volt motor which i picked up second hand for 15 bucks, and found an aluminum 4 blade fan out of an old cool room compressor unit which i modified (drilled out) to fit the motor. sharpened up the trimmed edge of the blades, mounted the motor in half a 44 gol drum and used an old wire shelf from a fridge that sits 2-3mm above the fan blades. it works great and i can trim around 4-5lbs an hour with this beauty. this crop i will modify the air holes in the bottom of it and try and place some kind of filter that can handle the air output through it and see how much hash i can collect from it if any....

manhad a simlar plant ...well actually quite a few.imho ..most plants these days not brought from a shop(even then sumtymes they are) are crossed indica\sativa...in percentage rates....depending on the rate of indica\sativa in the plant itll show thru growth....soid say urs is probally 50\50 hence the reason for both indica and sativa leaves....or this could b a phenotype that throws out sets of leaveslike that...but imho its both 50\50 indica\sativa.....expect a nice smoke...but try to up the indica levels....shit its bn ages...bn sooo buisy.........but yall know how it is
....anyhow grow on and keep grinding....cultivate the nation....
i usually get 9 finger leaves when the shade leaves get to around the size of my hand. but usually the final 2 fingers are hugging the stem and only get about 10-20mm long.
as for strains i think these days most of the true indica or sativa strains are never 100% pure. nop matter what the seed bank claims are oh unless of course they are genetically testing them then id prob believe them. the ones they claim to be pure indica or sativa would most likely have 1-10% of the other strain. but thats jsut my opinion

yes i tie them down from about 12in high. so essentially they are growing horizontally. i get about 4-8 main colas. 4-5in dia baseball bats
am using 2 * 8in exhaust fans with can at end of each one and have a evap a/c running constantly

Whats a cheap RO system to get my tap waters got an ec of 0.6 which I suspect is to blame for my low uptake in my bubble cloner that and immature plants and me going a little overboard with the H2O2.
Plus I need more air and the avaiable air pumps suck, what did you end up getting Skiz?
Also my plans to take photo's have once again been stymied it seems no ones carries the telstra $2 sim I need to use the phone to take pictures, I will try my luck again tommorow at a telstra store.
good news is I have 2 clones that are ready to be transplanted outdoors (trained to 5 heads and 8 inches tall) and will provide me with some insight as to how my plants will cope as my winter crop.
