Question on sprouts

my srouts are about 14 days old and i was woundering if its time for them to be trans- planted yet.

since their stretching like that

i would transplant into a little cup or something and bury some of that stem ,

i myself would bury it up to 1/2" from under the leaves

get your lights closer to them so they wont stretch like that

When you do transplant, bury alot of that wispy stem and get your lights closer. The other one in the pic looks good maybe a lil over watered or could be the picture. I don't like those starter plugs because they don't hold water well and I don't like having to fill that tray. Plastic cups support my babies for two to three weeks. Less transplants the better.

yes definatly transplant. Those peat pots are good for the veggies, (I do garden every year.) Try to use the rockwool cubes, they hold water so much better. I put somei nthe bottom of my plants before I put them in their flowering pots.

Technically you will not be transplanting them, you will be planting the pet pellets into a pot. I would do that and follow goten's instructions of adding top soil.

I would hold off on moving the lights closer to such young seedlings due to the chance of burning your young ones, but that is up to you.

I cannot comment on the stretching of your seedlings because I do not know some details like the light spectrum you are using. The stretching could be caused by the phenotype or using a different light spectrum.

I use the peat starters and plant them as soon as I see roots emerging from the bottom/sides. Remove any netting from the starter trying not to damage any roots. I found out last yr that the netting doesnt really break down and SEVERLY restricts root growth.Mine looked just like yours, I wet the stem,sprinkled with rooting powder, and burried it to within 1/2" of top of plant. Its been in soil for a week now and doing great.
