Need Light Spectrum Help/Advice

so on the topic of light what color temp would you say would be suited for both veg and flowering or would it better using 2 temps at the same time

(i ask because i want a light i dont have to change)

i heard of some using one spectrum all the way through but i dont like it
get a switchable ballast and then u just change bulb

I'm running a 400w MH vertically and a 1000w HPS horizontally in my current grow with a lot of success.

Mix the spectrum. Get the best of both the whole way through.

cfl's...go two 6500k / one 2700k for veg
flower- two 2700k / one 6500k

this way you only have to exchange one out when you flower ;)

sweet thanks for all the feedback guys. has anyone tried one grow with just hps during flowering, then another similar grow with mh and hps together to see the difference in growth that way?

Why not just do it and you will see for yourself!.... and then you will have the answer and will be able to help others when they ask about it. :)
you have the root-bound thread right? and you are seeing that end so just keep experimenting and you will have the answer to your question!

yeah just don't do to many experiments at once or you wont know which one was the reason you failed or succeeded

That's what I figured. All my stuff was so last minute.

Both the bulbs are "enhanced spectrum" also. The HPS is a Eye Sunlux 145,000 lumen enhanced spectrum 2100K bulb (because this better corresponds with the peak wavelength used by plants than 2700K). The MH is a Digilux 45,000 lumen enhanced spectrum 6500K bulb.

The HPS has extra blue and the MH has extra red. Kinda funny... The results are convincing to me.
