Need help wiring and making CFL light set-up

I currently have 11 plants growing under insufficient lighting and I want to make a nice CFL light set-up. I would like to build a rack above the plants that holds a bunch of CFL's in a row.
Here is a picture of what I mean

Or this

Can someone please tell me what supplies I need to build this, wire it, and directions if possible. (I have access to a machine shop so fabrications are not a problem.)
Thanks :blsmoke:

Look at my grow....I got a piece of plywood cut to the size I need

Buy some mounts from Home Depot for $1, 'Y' brackets for $1, extension cords for $1, wire them yourself and hang using some chain.....

Here's some pics from my early setup

Ive been on Home Depots website and I cant find those light mounts. The white circles that I would screw the Y adapters into..what exactly are they called and where are they located in Home Depot

They'll have them at Home Depot, I just saw them the other day. The light bulb bases and the y-adapters are around the electrical adapters. So find the isle with the electrical adapters in all the small bins, and you'll find it.

Yeah there's like 252071343 different things so I would just ask someone and they'll take you right to them

You can buy cords like this and cut off the end that doesn't plug into the wall and use this for your wiring

the first picture you posted is my cab and it was very ez to build
This is wut I used to build the light

Wal-Mart - 3 light fixture - $8
Home Depot - 3 Y adapters - $6
- Extension cord to wire the fixture up (home depot sells an extension cord that has 3 exposed wires [pos, neg and ground] - $7

It was just over $20 + the bulbs

Now to wire it up:
The light fixture has 3 wires (pos, neg and ground). Match the wires from the light fixture to the wires on the end of the extension cord, add a wire nut (from the light fixture kit) to each set of wires and twist.

I hope that helps

Yeah, i stacked 3 y adapters on each one of my light sockets, giving me 4 cfl's per socket. The y adapters are rated for 660w, so as long as you dont go over that, you can stack them all you want. Check out the pics in my grow log in my signature if you are interested in how it looks.
