Broken Cola

2 weeks into flowering and I broke the main cola this morning while removing the plant from the grow area, it did not break off completely but quite a bit. I took the band aid and taped it up really quick, wasn't longer than 5 minutes. Is there a chance it'll survive? Anyone have any experience in situation like this?

if u taped it good, it will fuse back together, that is for sure. Now depending on how well it heals, it could have no effect on ur yield or it could hurt it; only time will tell.

I think anyone that has grown for any length of time has done that (broken branches) & it always SUCKS but u do what u can do to repair it & no matter how u break them as long as there is anything attached they always seem to fuse back together. Ur welcome, & thanks for the try (probably u have given out too much rep in the last day or so, hell I dont know) either way, always trying to help just because

Ok, one last question. This plant was the only one that didn't really require any watering today. The soil is not crusty but it is also not moist, should I let it go until it's ready for watering or should I give her water/nutes despite that so it has plenty of food to fuse back?

Don't over think things to much, just continue as scheduled... she will come back strong!

I dont know if watering any sooner would be benificial or not tbh ... I would just keep my normal routine and see where it goes - good luck !

u should be watering by weight (best way) not looks or finger test. After u give a fulll watering until it runs through, lift ur pot. Then lift it everyday thereafter. When it is noticably light, then u water again. So concerning this plant, if the pot is still heavy, leave it be. Actually when a plant is injured or has suffered stress, it is best not to give nutes for a week thereafter, as this can further damage because the plant is already shocked & this is not the time to be trying to force feed it nutes when its energy should be focused on repairing itself.

i dont think it will hurt your yield too much ,....especially if you mend the stem back together properly....it still eairly in the flower,....also fyi,...ppl graft plants all the time, wich is a process where two completly diffrent branches are fused together,......if you can fuse to diffrent branches then you should be able to repair a broke stem!!!!

Just make sure it is taped good like TE said, treat it like a broken bone and don't pick at it for at least 3 weeks and you should be fine.

If you have some b-1 vitamin i would water with a solution of that no matter how moist the soil is.
b-1 vitamin helps plants overcome shock. You can get a gallon of it at HomeDepot for $5.

A little update on this, everything is looking good. The lady looked really droopy for a first few hours after the accident but now everything looks great up on top. Thanks everyone for the input.
