Are you laid off? If so for how long? Do you just hate working and love living in your parents basement? Don't be embarrassed, own that shit. heh Again, How long since you worked? Just finished school and can't find a job? This is our thread people.

Feel free to bitch all you want about being bored.
Feel free to beg someone for a job.
We can even post jobs we find for others.
We can even post funny ass crazy shit you find in craigslist adds.
You can post just about anything just as long as you are a bum or feel like one sometimes.
Like I said own that shit, don't be embarrassed.


I will start it out:

I have been working since I was 12 and had my first paper route. Almost 40 now.
I got laid off in the beginning of 2009 after being at the same job for close to 7 years and then hurt myself. I was useless to them so they let me go when they got the chance. Now nobody wants to hire a gimp so I am still out of work. Sucks but hey.

And I was a cdl driver and drug tested randomly so I didn't smoke for years. As soon as I got laid off I took a ride to get a bag of weed and been puffing again since. heh

I also used to shave every other day with a straight edge. Since being laid off pffft shaving is for suckers. lol
I really like not having to shave and being able to smoke all day but it is starting to get lame after over 2 years.

So anyone else?
Who else is a bum?

Im a bum...but i work considering what i do...but still a bum non the less....getting a real job wouldnt be so bad if they didnt do background checks....seems like i have no problem i finding a shitty job but good one i am qualified if not over qualified the answer is always the same didnt pass the background check....oh well still enjoying life and the wifey make enough for both of us.....so ya im a bum in the sense id rather not work insted of standing there sayin how may i help you for 9 bucks and hour.

heh right on man. Own that shit. My wife is an RN and I stay at home with my 3yo daughter, another daughter due in August. I don't have anything on my permanent record other than I am gimp(permanently disabled sorry if anyone is offended) now and can not do my old job. Applied at 100s of jobs and not a single call back. Thankfully my home is paid off and so is my truck. I finally gave up and applied for disability. I also applied for a handicap plate. Fuck that I am owning this shit. They want me to be handicap, I am going to be handicap. heh

I feel ya man, I am 25 - Medically retired for now. Every 18 months I get re-evaluated.

So for now I have no reason to work, and if I do I am sure it will effect my disability %.


Sitting on RIU for hours a day really makes me feel bummy!
Trying to invest my free time into a business for my wife. I thought growing weed again would take some of my free time up, but really growing MMJ does not take alot of work ha ha.

LMFAO I forgot about gimp plates. in my state that's also means you don't pay on street parking, I got errands to do now!

In the beginning gyo took some time but now it is 1 hour every 2 days. heh
I also started a garden outside. Hmmm what other hobbies.... I now do yoga, and tai chi daily and have a class for each once a week. I take my daughter on play dates. I am like miss(ter) happy home maker. I can cook some food, stuffed peppers tonight. I try and play my drums daily but my back is fucked and I tried three thrones so far and have not found one I can last more than 20 minutes in without getting up in pain.
I play my bass alot more now because of that. What sucks about being disabled is not being able to do shit I used to do. Fishing has become a painful chore when I go alone, sucks.

If not for RIU I would be very very bored.

got firied a week before Christmas....gave that piece of shit 5 years of blood sweet and tears...just for them to re-staff upper management and clean house...I loved working i miss it...and RIU is lonley during the day

i got cruched with 250lbs of fish tubs back in 2005 fuck um my back, + a tumer taken out my tibia twice, my wrist screwd 2gether and now my finger being gone.. and just being a bum. its a great life, but ssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell my wife i said that...LOL

That 2 months sucked. Being a bum was boring.

I got the axe the day before my birthday weekend. lol I hated my job though after getting hurt so I was so happy with tears of joy. Went right to my uncles and got some weed. heh

I fucked up my back on a big ass electric pallet jack that was stuck on the end of my truck first thing in the morning and then all of a sudden snapped me back and pinned me against the wall. Done. lol Well add that to 20 years of furniture delivery.
