After a very successful first grow I have had the same problems with my last two grows. The leave as you can see in the pics are yellowing and turning brown on the edges. I can't figure out why this is. The seedlings are Nirvana PPP and about two weeks old from germination and only about two inches tall. The soil is FF light warrier with one application of FF big bloom at half strentgh and lighting is two ea. 100w cfl's.
Water is rodi.
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Yup. Thats a problem! Just like PeacefulKid1992 Said, NUTE BURN. If you are using FF soil then you should not give your plant any Nutes until the first month is over. Once you start your Second month, that first week you are going half of FF BIG BLOOM directions. You will burn your plant the way you doing it, everytime too..I had that same Problem until I did some research on it!

Yeah it looks burned, but FF big bloom is supposed to be safe for seedlings. The FF feeding schedule reccomends big bloom for seedlings.

Dont go by the directions in the FF PDF file you posted. Read the back of the Big bloom Bottle you have, The Nutes they want you to go by are so much less than the PDF file you posted. Go by the back of bottle. If it says 3, do 1 1/2...That it..until the next water, then go up too 2 and so on!
Make any sense?

P.S= Feed the plant with Nutes, Then within that week feed with water(no nutes). I ussually go Nutes, water, Nutes, water, Nutes, water...etc. 2 times a week until it gets large! Then you need to water more!

I do agree it appears to be nute burn, but I don't know why it would be burned. FF Light Warrier soil is "all natural" and is not supposed to burn seedlings and is safe for seed germination.
FF Big Bloom is not supposed to burn seedlings either.
The directions on the bag of FF Light Warrier state to use FF Big Bloom "Within 5 days" of starting germination.
Why then would the seedlings be burned?

I used the 'paper towel' method of germination then planted seeds in FF light warrier soil. I then used a half strenth application of FF Big Bloom at two weeks old. Seems like they would be okay.
Well if they die I'll try again without the FF fert for the first month.

Thanks guys.

Like I said this is not my first grow. I used the same procedure with Master Kush seeds and no problems.

plants will burn if given too much nutrients, no matter if they are organic or synthetic.

Did you pre-water the soil before you transplanted? The website says
"[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]And it isn’t just a grow medium—we pack it with beneficial microbes to stimulate root growth and enhance fertilizer uptake, humic acid to help in seed germination, and earthworm castings to help plants thrive."

It definitely has way more than enough nutrients to support a plant for a week easily... Adding more is senseless regardless of what the company says... Heck the cotyledons (first 2 leaves) alone have enough food to support the seedling for a week... You have been told its too much nutes at once by many people believe it or not its true.. And alot of strains handle nutes alot different, because one could handle it does not guarantee another will...

Definately nute burn.
Give it a good flush without nutes. Airate the flush water if you can.
It'll be fine.

FF has been great for a lot of growers but it's also been a problem at times....I had mixed results with FF stuff....when I switched to a nuteless soil (Humboldt), solved most of my issues....proper watering techniques solved the others....
