yeah well this place wasn't like it used to be, there are hoards of newbies who think they know wtf they're talking about, and any thread they see that gives them an outlet to express their ego they will go crazy on us unless we have the ability to say fuck off I don't give a fuck about waht you have to say.

it's simple. if we are forced to play their game of logic without being able to tell them to fuck off they will just keep playing the game.

it's like the bullying situation, you may not agree with it, but a bully doesn't bully the kid who is ready to sock him in the face every time he goes to say something.

same thing applies here, if trolls didn't feel like this was such a safe haven to talk shit to existing members they wouldn't even try. if they felt like they could get jumped on without getting ANYONE banned for jumping on them, they have NO incentive to act like that in the first place.


but by putting in rules that allow mods to ban people for insults, trolls can play around with this and piss off existing members until they blow u p and get themselves banned, thus giving the troll reason to live here.


so hey if you want trolls to have a breeding ground here, keep supporting the no insults rule..

if not man the fuck up and realize life is hard insults are a part of it.

Unlikely, but when he officially does and with the understanding that he can't handle the responsibility, and agrees to never seek to have them reinstated, I'm sure this place could turn amicable once again. ;)

You obviously won't be here much longer if that is your contention. I think it is a great rule.... how about manning up and keeping your insults to yourself? And by that, I mean manners, not your manhood....

I really don't think FDD is the bad guy here, I think the rule NO INSULTS is a bad one... I think there shouldn't be persistent personal attack that feels like harrassment.

but we should still have the right to tell someone they're a prick and should fuck off. SERIOUSLY.

hey that's cool that you don't understand my logic, but don't try to act like I don't have a point here... trolls see this loophole, and if you're trying to act like it doesn't exist by belittling my statement like I can't handle trolls is stupid.

I think FDD can get a little sensitive sometimes :shock:

But thats just me. I mean, it is the internet. I don't care what people say to me. Its in a fancy box on my desk. I have a real life that I enjoy. If someone is annoying me on the internet, I click the little red X and go fuck my man, cause thats what I do, son!


EDIT - If someone in real life was being a douche bag, acting like they knew more than you, and talking DOWN to you…..yes, i'd call them an asshole to their face and tell them to fuck off. I guesss im a bad person?

hey I would if they deserved it, trying to poke at my ego or something? it is what it is fool, these trolls have a loophole, I found a way to make it not exist anymore, you're defending it's existence because you have this fairy-tale idea in your head that stoners can all be nice to eachother.

but guess what, making a rule to not insult someone is like prohibition, it doesn't fucking work; it only results in people who are able to abuse this system (trolls) and people who get fucked over because of it (people like me.)

then ther'es idiots like you who think we should just lay back and take it like a bitch, even though it gives the trolls an unfair way of fucking with the regular members, which will result in a collapse of the community, as it already has.

this place was much different 3 years ago, now that trolls have flocked here and realized the loop hole, all they have to do is be patient enough to type out some annoying as logical fallacy that allows them to trip on one thing you say, and then they can just say you're trippin or that you're spreading misinformation until they either wear you down enough to not want to post anymore, or to blow up and get yourself banned.

so now, how exactly is the no insults rule good for anyone again???
