Perhaps, but how much reusable soil do you get? idk about you but I've bought 3 bags of roots soil have have grown 4 large tomato plants, 3 bean plants, broccoli, 3 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of peppers, cucumbers, brussel sprouts, spinach, cilantro, lavender, basil, thyme, sage, oregano, mint, kale, swiss chard, and carrots + 8 ganja plants and I still have half a of rubbermaid left over. Seems like you get a lot of amazing soil and potential for your money. + you can reuse it/recycle it. Think of it more as an investment like a light rather than a short lived liquid commercial nutrient wasted of money that you literally pour down the drain eventually. That's kind of a lot of money...
^^^^^ You should be able to fill a bunch, I filled a 5x5 tent with pots of veggies and herbs with about a bag and a half of roots, maybe a little less, and had plenty left over to start a ganja grow with and more herbs and veggies for outside and like I said I still have half a rubbermaid tub full. That's how far I got with 3 bags of roots, not to mention 8 + 30lbs of worm castings etc etc....how many 3 gallon pots can u fill with that?
If you are an ongoing grower, producing grow after grow it is nice to have your soil mixture all ready prepared and ready when you want to pot plants. That's a lot of soil mix, 8 bags just to start. My wishlist includes purchasing 2 big trash containers with rollers, amending my soil mixture, and having it ready to scoop and grow. I am going to make a point to get this done by the end of the summer (warmer weather) so when winter comes (and it's cold) I don't have to worry about mixing in my cold garage, I can just scoop and go.That's kind of a lot of money...
Love that phrase, "This thing doesn't run on thanks." It can apply to a lot of situations. This is one that I will have to use on the few that know looking for freebies! Good one!If you are worried about cost this may not be the thing for you for as with any hobby it takes money, like my old fishing buddie used to say when we would get off his boat " This thing doesn't run on thanks." I wasn't sure about re-using it or not, thanks for clearing that up. I figured since it is some high quality soil it can be composted and re-used in that sense if nothing else, unlike expensive and wasteful commercial nutrient supplements. I've had this laying around for a while now and would have posted this on your recipe thread to give some price perspective to the viewers had I thought of it sooner. At any rate I'm glad you found it, hope it comes in handy for ya. I have the original excel doc if you are interested just let me know bro.One load of Super soil does 3 full crops for me not re using it I do not recommend re using.
200$ is to much to invest on a few good crops you will never be a good grower farming takes work and investment.
The same regime in AN runs 1400 per crop.
In my outside flower garden around bushes, plants, and shrubs is where I dump all of my used MJ soil mixture. So far it has worked well for me.I wasn't sure about re-using it or not, thanks for clearing that up. I figured it would since I've been growing a ton of veggies and herbs and a little bit of ganja using nothing but roots organic soil and everything is perfectly happy, haven't had any hiccups in the 3 months I've been going at it. So I figured some roots on steroids that has been used once would still be waaay better off than just roots, and roots is already a damn good start with IMO. I imagine recycling from a disease and pest free grow for uses such as seedlings, veg, or moms but saving the fresh batch for flowering wouldn't be the worst idea. Cost effective too esp. if you are already complaining about the initial cost like some people on here.In my outside flower garden around bushes, plants, and shrubs is where I dump all of my used MJ soil mixture. When at all possible I like to recycle, and recycling good MJ growing medium is a way to get rid of the used material. I have heard people say that they reuse their growing medium one time only with no problems. I don't feel that comfortable to try that yet.I figured it would since I've been growing a ton of veggies and herbs and a little bit of ganja using nothing but roots organic soil and everything is perfectly happy, haven't had any hiccups in the 3 months I've been going at it. That's what's up man!$200.oo is cheap if you figure the costs involved with nutes and other materials. I'm putting my money in the super soil route and getting away from the high priced nutes(great marketing).
